Good item
Just got it and used it a few times so far. Easy to use, nothing to assemble. Works with several types of espresso, not just nespresso. Makes great tasting espresso. Easy to clean. You are able to adjust the temperature of the water and the size of the shots which i think is good. I have used other machines that the coffee just does not seem hot enough.

Fail on the first unit hope the replacement is better. Nope
Excited during unboxing. Set machine up and ran a few passes of plain water through the machine using the ground coffee cartridge (no coffee of course). The water did not go into the cup I placed in the tray but seemed to run behind it. I had to push the cup and hold it against the back of the opening. The water did not come out the little spout.Unperturbed, I decide to try a nespresso capsule. Fail. The capsule was not penetrated at the top (actually the bottom because the capsule goes in upsidedown) and the water ran all over the counter. Tried 2 more. One barely pierced but the weird diamond plate that the foil sits on did not puncture the foil and once the pod filled up more water and a few grains of coffee all over the counter. The temperature set doesn't work either. You are supposed to hold the big cup button and small cup button, respectively, one second to raise or lower the temp. The button flashed when this happens. I timed it and I have to hold the button 4 seconds before it flashes. You have to press the button twice to go up 2 levels of heat. It doesn't say to press fast, hold for a second before the next press etc. I tried all manner of presses. I finally had some success by pressing the button for one second releasing for a second and pressing again, then holding (third press) to get it to flash twice showing that is has gone down 2 levels. Even worked for three but I could not reliably replicate the process. Some times it would flash ones and others twice, and rarely 3 times. Never got it to do 4 flashes. The temp up button would only flash once no matter what I did.Thankfully, Amazon has great CS and they offered a refund or exchanged. I chose exchange to give it one more try. I'm not hopeful and already have my eye on a different machine. I don't really need the Dulce and vertuoline capabilities. I came into possession of about 400 nespresso capsule and this was reasonably priced. I didn't want to spend $100 when I have a regular espresso machine, a tassimo, a k-cup machine(s).If the next machine is a bust I think I'll try the Homeleader Nespresso Machine K04-044, which I didn't find in my previous searches but did as i was chatting with customer service.Updates to follow.Update: 2 days later. New unit arrived. Same problems. Nespresso pods not pierced, water runs out the back and floods counter. Still can't properly change temp. Unit being returned and blacklisted to all family and friends.Update. Correspondence with manufacturer leads to the conclusion that dish machine only works with original Nespresso capsules not third-party compatible capsules

Value for money
This machine can perfectly solve my struggling between buying a nespresso one or a Dolce Gusto one. Almost all types of capsules compatible, though it really has some dripping/spilling problem. Another purchaser's tips are really useful, i.e. you should press the capsule into the cap a bit hard so as to ensure the capsule has been punched through. This important note has not been told in the user manual!

Good machine but buy the warranty
I love this little machine. It’s compact, fast, and makes a decent cup of espresso with ease. The reason for *** rather than *****: This is the second Gourmia GCM70000 I’ve owned. (The first was a gift in December 2016.) The first recently stopped working completely in a rather dramatic fashion, and my gift-giver did not purchase a warranty. (I did, this time.) So, I did like this machine to replace the first. But - beware of its longevity.

The new machine I received makes excellent coffee with my nespresso pods
I received, a defective machine at first, so Gourmia sent me another machine. The new machine I received makes excellent coffee with my nespresso pods. I use fresh coffee ground coffee that I brought from Italy and the crema is so rich. This is a winner for an espresso machine and now I can shop for different pods that are on sale and won’t break my wallet great machine love the way you can change the temperature of the machine water its great for different coffee pods you can always get an excellent cup of coffee

Great idea but pathetic product quality
Was looking for something that would allow me to explore various espresso options available. This product seemed like a dream come true by description and does look great. I ordered a new one as part of the amazon deal of the day, But the inserts seem to be used and returned without proper cleaning. So had to clean them, though we have to clean them for a new machine anyway. So didn't mind that much. Would have been happy if the machine did what was described. It also made a perfect first cup with Nespresso pod. Then tried to make another cup and it just drips water from the back of spot where the expression should be dispensed from, messing up the whole counter. Tried to make the machine work with minor adjustments, and for some pods which had a rounded top because of air inside, the insert designed for Nespresso doesn't even go all in. Not sure why this product was not even properly tested before putting it out in the market.Just look at all the reviews mentioning the same problems. That would be a lot of lemons, if what we got is one. Will be returning this product.

Excellent for 5 months ... then no more coffee
Machine worked very very well with Verismo (StarBucks) pods as well as Nespresso cups (not so much Jake's Coffee pods for Nespresso, half of these would not get punctured). However that only lasted about 5 months. Then Nespresso cups would not get punctured. And 3 weeks later, even Verismo pods would not get punctured and so you are left with a water leak ... sometimes colored with coffee all over your counter.
