This worked well and as advertised on steamed potatoes and carrots. I was very happy with the way it worked and "mashed" the potatoes. The write up says it works well as a juicer, but this did not work for me. It takes too much pressure and wants to bend the plates with the holes in them. I think it will work well on anything like a cooked potato, but not so much on raw things, unless they are very soft to start with.

I knew I was buying a cheaper tool and I should have checked it first. Cut my finger during the initial wash. Check for sharp edges and take some sandpaper to them.I'll post a use review after I use it.

I couldn’t figured out how to keep the bowl/cup to stay in

Although it's made for another purpose, I couldn't find something made to drain oil from cooked meat. This works very well and even does well for meat patties.

It's pretty good but the handles being a little short makes it a little hard to press down. Also, although I have only used it twice, the small hole metal circle is already bent.

I love mashed taters and this is so easy to use and faster than hand mashing

Inserts bend and fall through even when ricing boiled potatoes for mashed potatoes—potatoes meaning ones that crumble when pierced with a fork and are peeled, cut and boiled potatoes. I let the purchase sit for too long before trying and now the window for return has passed.
