Great product
Had to replace our 10 year old tankless water heater and this one is just as good. We are off grid and the outside installation heats up the water in no time at all depending on the incoming water temperature. Great unit to have a shower with, although the temperature of the incoming water varies the setting on the unit. You need to have someone control the heat setting as it can get too hot at times. Once the setting is adjusted the temperature remains the same throughout the shower but on your next shower the incoming water temperature could have changed thus the setting must be readjusted prior to showering. Small inconvenience but well worth the time spent to adjust as a shower in the remote part where we live is a luxury. Recommended purchase for occasional use.

Great water heater
Very easy to pex my piping into this unit. Water can be extremely hot, do use care. Fairly compact in size easily mounted. It does take some time to adjust to get a consistent comfortable water temps to be able to shower. I found there were periods of both cold and hot. Maybe it's my pump not delivering to specs? Overall I'm happy.

Excellent Product
I have had one of these before, but not the same brand. Needed to replace it so I picked this one. Very easy to hook up, and I am amazed at how well it works. Couldn't be happier with its performance .

Very good water heater - a bit hard to store away when not in use
We've used the Camp Chef Triton 5L heater for years, loved it (until I let it freeze). They're no longer made, so I needed an alternate water heater for our off-grid property. This Gasland unit is a good replacement. It's not too hard to set up (see caveat below), and it works -- we've only used it for a few days, but so far, so good.HOWEVER...there is one "feature" which I do not appreciate. It's a bit hard to describe, so please bear with me -- the problem is a brass fitting which is used to connect your hose to the water inlet. In the Triton heater, this fitting was made up of two components one of which attached to the hose, the other to the heater's water inlet - one piece rotated freely within the other. After attaching the smaller piece to the heater, you inserted a rubber washer into the other piece, and could then TURN THE LARGER PIECE TO CONNECT THE HOSE WITHOUT TURNING THE SMALLER PIECE. Simple concept, right?Unfortunately, Gasland somehow failed to grasp the perfection of this concept. Their fitting is a SINGLE brass connector with threads at each end. No matter how you try to attach the hose, you're SCREWED (pun intended). If you attach the fitting to the heater, you can't then turn it to attach it to the hose without unscrewing it from the heater. If you attach it to the hose, you can't then turn it to attach it to the heater without unscrewing it from the hose. CATCH 22!So how did I resolve the issue? First I disconnected the gas and water outlet (spray head) I then attached the #%@& fitting tightly to the hose. I then twisted the whole hose about one full rotation to allow me to start the fitting onto the water heater, for one thread. THEN I TURNED THE ENTIRE WATER HEATER AROUND AND AROUND AND AROUND to screw it onto the fitting until it was almost tight, and used wrenches for the last quarter turn. It left the hose slightly twisted, but it's working. The only other VERY SMALL negative -- when not in use, we can't leave any water heater unprotected outside where we use it, we don't want to subject it to rain and dust and pollen. It needs to be covered. I built a "dog-house" from plywood, which fitted nicely over the propane tank and our old Triton heater, which stood on legs on the ground. Unfortunately, although it's easy to pull the Gasland heater off the bolt from which it hangs, you can't just set it on the ground, as it has no legs -- the water and gas hoses get in the way. It has to be laid on its side, where it takes up to much acreage to fit in my dog-house. #&*@!$$!Oh, well. [sigh] I'll build a better dog-house. All in all, this is a VERY good water heater...so far. Stay tuned, film at 11.
