" Made a great dinner, and really saved the day
My husband and I just moved to Baja California. We were so fractured from our move that we were too tired to grocery shop our first night in our rental. "Emergency food bars are in our car!!!" Made a great dinner, and really saved the day! Do not look forward to a real emergency but, if there is, we'll be prepared!

have a good vacuum cleaner with you since you will be wearing ...
Exactly what they're meant to be, emergency food. Be prepared for a messy process however when attempting to open one. they come extremely well wrapped in saran and if one is in a car, have a good vacuum cleaner with you since you will be wearing a lot of crumbs. However, for emergency use one cannot expect gormet food all the time. Also have something to wash it down with!

They taste pretty good even though they are really dry
They taste pretty good even though they are really dry. I keep a few of these around in case of emergency, and I trust them to get me through if I need them. They would make a decent addition to any emergency/survival kit. They do crumble really easily, but that did not bother me much.

It came packaged well and has the ingredients and nutrients that we wanted. We won't know about the taste until we have an emergency where we need it.

Failure
Items arrived on time, in a perfect size box with bubble wrap.Items have Great Shelf Life and expiration date was within 5 years.Would of had a 4 star if the consumables were sealed.Unfortunately there not worth anything now unless you eat them soon.This is the second time I had tried to return the item because there was no seal.I will not buy from this manufacturer again.

Much easier to eat than ER Bars... fairly tasty.
These definitely get extra points for being individually wrapped, easy to break apart (to eat in smaller bites), and fairly tasty (coconut). The ER bars were way too thick- hard to break apart, and once the package was opened, the entire 'block' was subject to air/humidity. I am reordering the Datrex bars to add to my emergency stash- and will be sending the ER Bars back that are en route (as well as the one package I still have here).
