Is it automatic lighting or do you need matches.

How long will a "20 pound" cylinder last at maximum flame?

I have a 500gal propane tank that I use to heat my house and I have a built in propane valve on the back patio for barbecues and for use with one of these burner. I hook it up and it only produces a very small flame that will take a month of sundays to boil 3 gals of water to cook our crab. Any insights?

Can you use just a gas line from your house or do you have to use the attachment hose too - seems like it has a very small hole and it takes forever
