The Key of Solomon the King: Clavicula Salomonis Paperback – November 1, 2016

I have been using this book for years in my obeah/palo/vodun practice. the rituals contained within works, while I'm not a christian or even follow that doctrine, I do recognize a lot of it was plagiarized from other ancient sources so its not entirely worthless, I do however adapt it to my own personal preference and incorporate my own deities of the afrikan paths rather than christian deities and it works, this book has some of the best conjurations I have seen anywhere and its also an excellent source to activating the Solomon talisman and seals, this is old school ritualistic magic, not for the new age fluff bunnies. these types of magical text have been around for a hundreds of years and have been used by practitioners of all paths, this is magic that you must study, practice and do the rituals to experience success. there is not fast food approach to this magical system, this is the system of the learned.I would also like to caution using your own blood to activate talisman for anyone other than self. I made the mistake of doing this for a client who was a police officer who came to see me for some spiritual work, now I won't go into details on his exact issues other than to say he was also a bounty hunter of criminals, after casting a circle and cleaning him off, I meditated on the talisman he needed, and it was revealed to me to purchase a seal of Saturn talisman, after doing the work to activate this seal I was then lead to put a drop of my blood on it and do some more rituals to activate it before placing it around his neck, I was physically weakened for almost three months while he wore it. now while he achieved his desired aim, it took a lot of my energy to help him acquire this. now I don't now why I was led to put a drop of my own blood on a talisman, as I have never done that for a client,I guess with all that was going on around him he needed a drop of witches blood. *note to self never place your blood on talisman for others* you should heed the warnings about blood at the beginning of this text, the rules are in place for a reason, unless your an seasoned demonologist which I was not at that time and lucky for me I did not bring grave harm to myself, other than feeling like complete and utter crap for three months which as not fun!! I find this magical text to be very effective in magical works and can be incorporated in a variety of spiritual paths, the works within can also be fused with other systems. in fact this is one of the magical text used in obeah.

Sir Mathers is is very respectable BUT his oversion the dark side of his practice is dishearting b/c threwout the ages man has cut parts from books that he doesn't like. ex: The bible. However he is a good authority on Solomon and his works. To be a true scholar one must not be baised of other ways and writtings of others. I like him though. I give him a 4. Mathers cautions one on the dark ways unlike others. mathers could still have included in his works what he didn't like and still leave heavy cautions.

This is a wonderful guide if you are interested in getting any of the Talismans, or learning about them. I really *not* into spells of any kind, so the parts that address that I intentionally overlooked. If you are a student of Kaballah (as I am) you can find much here - but it's super in-depth, no light reading here at all.I'm personally fascinated by King Solomon - if you are, this book won't disappoint you.

extremely fascinating and interesting read, it was very well translated and flowed flawlessly in my opinion. So much information packed into this volume, I really enjoyed reading this, and you can't beat this quality for the price, so I will be rating this five stars today!
