Great lead
It's somewhat smear resistant fro the oils in your hand and the dreaded graphite dirty paper when stored. but it does smear under highlighters. I use it still because i rather it smear under highlighters (the pastel sharpie ones) than get a whole notebook ugly and dirty with graphite smears. It's over pretty great quality. The lead case can be pretty discerning or confusing when its time to first open it. it's a slide out compartment! You can write relatively fast with this without breaking. The weight of the lead is true to form and is dark as it needs to be. It comes out and holds edge for a long time before needing to be lengthened. So I wouldn't say its particularly sharp, but its also not overtly blunt and hard to write with.

Lead Review ❤️
Lead is nice. Very comfortable, doesn't break as my previous .5 lead. Very good value considering you pay 10$ ish. It's a very good functional lead the smear resistance is nice I reccomend to use it with uni kuru toga pencils.Overall 9.5/10

May look overpriced, but
These may look overpriced at first, but these leads are the real deal, very sturdy and durable. Have been using them with my new kuru toga mechanical pen and after hours of writing none of the leads have broken so far. So these might look overpriced, but since they don't break as frequently as cheaper leads, you are probably breaking even in the long run.

The name is very accurate
Although there is still a slight bit of smudging, it is far and away the least smudgy lead I've ever used. Compared to some Pentel Hi-Polymer lead I've been using for a while, it almost feels like ink with how it sticks to the page and never smudges. There will still be a tiny bit of smudge if you have a particularly heavy hand, but even then it isn't much and everything will remain easily readable. It's a pretty brittle lead and prone to breakage, although with how cheap it is here that hardly matters. It's also a lot shinier on the page than some other leads, looking nearly metallic. All in all it's my current favorite lead, and basically the only one I ever use now.

Ok quality, decent smudge-resistant lead
I bought the Uni smudge-proof lead to go with my new Kuro Toga advance pencil. I was tired of highlighting over my notes and it smearing my writing.I did a quality test against Bic 0.9 pencil lead and the smudge test is pretty obvious on which one did better. Though, it could also be because there is less lead on the paper since it’s 0.5mm vs. 0.9mm (I didn’t have another 0.5 on me at the time). The highlighting on the 0.9 was obviously worse than the 0.5.So far, the lead is proving pretty decent quality and it’s not cutting into the paper. I’d buy it again.Update: I tested against Uni 0.5 regular lead and the tests were pretty similar, but the smudge-proof did smudge a little less, so 4 stars it is. It’s personal preference at this point on whether the smudge proof or standard lead is the better lead.

Huge Difference for Smudge Control!
Total game changer! When I draw, my hand always rests on the paper, which usually smears the whole page with pencil dust, making lines fade and look messy overall. These Uni leads aren’t completely smudge-proof, but they make a huge difference compared to the regular lead I used before. Check out my photo.. the two top scribbles are with the Uni lead, and the two bottom are with my old pencil lead. I rubbed both sets equally, and the Uni lead hardly smudged, and the lines remained crisp, meanwhile the bottom smudged immediately and lines began to fade away... Definitely worth it if you draw like me and you want less smudging and cleaner art!
