Perfect Solution for My Crawlspace
**Update a year later** The dehumidifier is still working great, keeping the humidity steady at the level I se on the (separate) remote that I purchased. No issues at all. [original review]I bought this heavy-duty dehumidifier for my home's crawl space. The square footage affected is about 650 sq ft because half of my home is a walk-out basement and half is dirt foundation crawl space. My goal is to eventually encapsulate and insulate the crawl space, but I need to tackle the project in phases. Phase 1 was to put in a new French drain outside the structure, improve grading and ensure gutters and downspouts are moving water well-away from the house. Phase 2 was to install a dehumidifier and close off the crawl space vents (I have/had five of them). Upon putting the dehumidifier in place, leveled, on blocks and routing the drain tube to a nearby utility pump the humidity level was around 70% (not a surprise). Within an hour it had dropped to 60%. And by the end of the day it had reached the target of 45%. It is doing a great job and definitely worth the investment.

So far, so good!
I was hesitant because this isn't a big name brand item, but after some researching, it comes quite well received on here so I thought I would give it a try.I was also hesitant initially because I couldn't find many reviews that talk about square footage. Our basement is around 2800 sq ft, (35x85), divided down the middle lengthwise, one side is rec room and other side is utility and storage.Right now I have it set up on a desk in the rec room, with the drain going into a tote so I can monitor how much water is being pulled out.As of right now, it's set to 50% Rh, and pulling around 5 gallons of water out of the air every 24 hours. It's been running for a week and half and hasn't slowed much yet. The humidity has dropped substantially though, from high 70's to low 50's in the rec room.I have a humidity sensor on both sides of the basement and the utility room side, while the dehumidifier isn't in there, is also seeing a substantial drop to low 60's so far. Also, the damp, musty smell has dissipated substantially. I'm pleased! For the future, I plan to ceiling mount this in the utility side with ductwork splitting and going to both sides of the basement.Hopefully this will last a long time as well!

Customer Service like no other
Please read my update at the end of this first review.I bought one of these dehumidifier in 2021 and it worked great until a couple of weeks ago. I contacted the manufacturer who worked with me to triage the problem. After several back and forth and many pictures, they decided it was probably the freon. They offered to send a replacement machine and did so very promptly. It is now installed in my basement and working fine. I have never had such an experience with a company in competence, promptness and customer service. I don't know what happened to the first machine but the fact that they responded swiftly and sent me another machine was amazing. BTW, the first machine worked just fine for the 2 years. Never had a problem until it stopped working. I hope this one will last for a long time.Update on second machine they sent. They sent it in December of 2023 and it stopped working on July 2024. Lasted less than 7 months. I contacted the seller but have not received a response. I am done with these people. Wasted a lot of money on this machine. Had I know it would last months, I would have bought cheaper one and replace it every year. A bummer.

Tech support saved the day
Couldn’t give bluedeep 5 stars because the Unit worked great since September 2023 until April 2025 Then it worked but didn’t collect any water Called tech support and back and forth emails with a series of questions they determined that the compressor was faulty They replaced the unit at no cost to me The new unit had been running for a couple of weeks but I am 71 years old had to go into my crawl space remove the older unit install the new unit and then dispose the old one, I like the unit very much right price easy installation easy to understand controls if it wasn’t for this issue I will give it a 5 starsThank you Jack ( tech support) for helping me

Really happy with my experience.
I purchased the 145 pint dehumidifier last fall and was really impressed with how powerful it performed. I had a basement I finished and was having humidity and mold issues. I had been using a 30 pint dehumidifier. The Bluedeep made an impact immediately. I didn't use the dehumidifier over the winter and turned it on 2 weeks ago because the warmer weather, but the machine did not bring the humidity down. Im mildly handy, so I took the unit apart to look at the components and noticed an oily residue around the compressor and the coils were not getting cold enough to condense the moist air. I contacted customer service. And they had me take some pictures of the compressor and piping. We determined there was a leak in the copper pipe that caused the refrigerant leak out. I looked up how much it would cost to repair the issue and let the company know I expected it to cost around $350 dollars. But I'd rather have a new machine. Without hesitation they asked where to ship the new dehumidifier. I gave them my address and 4 days later it was on my doorstep. When it works it's a very powerful dehumidifier. And when its not working its nice to have a company that backs their product with great customer service.

Works great in my basement
I have a very large finished basement, which felt constantly damp. I had a basic smaller scale, dehumidifier that I had to manually emptied daily, sometimes twice a day. The deep blue works great, keeps my basement dry. I have it set up in the corner in my laundry room on the counter with the automatic empty through my laundry room. It took a few days for me to figure out the right setting, but once I did, I don’t ever think about it anymore. It works fantastic!
