I bought this back support for work because I'm an office worker and sit for long hours. I was looking for a good lower back support to stop the aches and pains in my back (not due to back injury or other problems). My back was just getting very tired and achy. So, I decided to look into some kind of support that I could put on my chair. When I found this one, I thought that it has a odd shape and won't be able to provide the support that I need. As a result, I decided to read the reviews. Since most of them were positive, I decided to give it a try. In my surprise, I found it very useful and comfortable. It actually supports your whole back and is very comfortable to lean against. The plastic is shaped so nice that you don't even feel the hardness. I highly recommend this product. I've been using it for over a month now and are very happy with it. By the way, I didn't get paid by the manufacturer to write this review. :)

I had this one since 2017. For a while, I am not big fan of it, since it sort of does not provide lumber support. However, I started to appreciate the smart design when using it in my car. It "hugged" your back very well, for a slim person like me in the huge SUV car seat. When making turns, it provides the support from all angles I need, and greatly reduced the stress on my lower back. Too sad to see it was no longer available, when I tried to get another one for my friend at the end of 2019. Hope Amazon will have something similar for me to choose from.

I would first like to inform you that I paid full price for this back support having had no prior relationship with this company. I found this product online and took a chance ordering it. I have had back issues for years and have literally tried every product on the market. I am affected in my lower back as a result of sitting for any amount of time. It recently became unbearable to drive my car for any period of time without experiencing excruciating pain. I considered selling my car but couldn't decide on a replacement to cure my back ills. I found the Back Pal on line and figured I'd give it a chance. If it didn't work out I'd return it and then sell the car. When it arrived it resembled an instrument of torture and didn't look at all comfortable being constructed of rigid plastic. Having nothing to lose, I placed it in the car and drove a short distance to try it out. Wow...no back pain while driving! But the real test was yet to come. When I got out of the car I was able to straighten up immediately with a minimal amount of pain. Usually I walked bent over for several minutes after exiting the car trying to get through the pain of standing up straight. The back pal actually worked but how does it fare on a long drive? I took off an hour from home and back. I experienced a different pain which I had never felt before. It felt like a muscular pain running up the left side of my back. I corrected it by adjusting the height of the support pads and the pain immediately disappeared. THE BACK PAL WORKS. I USE IT CONSTANTLY AND MY BACK PAIN HAS ALL BUT DISAPPEARED. I no longer dread driving the car and when you're not driving just slide it over to the passenger seat and you're in business. My advice is, if you suffer from constant back pain from sitting, give this a shot. If at first it's not completely comfortable, use the adjustments until you find the right spot. This thing works. It's expensive and looks weird but works perfectly.

I use this strictly in my living room chair. Up till now, my lower back would always “cave” into the chair, and when I got up it was stiff. I tried many supports, pillows, and even a plank of wood! While a pillow was the best, it would soon crumble into an unattractive and not highly effective support.So, I imagined a plastic back shaped support would be best. A google search helped me find things similar to this. After shopping around, I found this on Amazon. Even though the price was somewhat more the other supportive products, this was most similar to what I imagined earlier.Bought it and bang, the first night of just setting it in my easy chair made a huge difference. I was pleased by the way the springs allowed firm and flexible support. The panels are smoothly finished. After a few hours of sitting, my back is no longer stiff when I get up. The breathability from the holes in the support pieces is nice, too. I can’t speak to office chair or car use, but the overall apparent quality makes it something I would definitely buy as a gift for anyone that has back issues.
