Dove Men+Care Shave Gel, Hydrate Plus 7 oz

I was very impressed with the men+care shave gel. It's not quite as foamy as a traditional shaving cream such as barbasol, but rather a silky, creamy consistency which was refreshing. I felt like the razor glided very easily through without any discomfort despite the lesser "volume" of traditional shaving creams, and unlike some other gels, it doesn't get very sticky on your face. The smell is fresh and clean but not overpowering. I usually use lotion after I shave because my face gets a bit sensitive, but it felt like I didn't need it as my face felt lubricated even after I washed up. Another thing I liked is the unique pump on the top, which seems to prevent that slow, annoying leakage of additional foam after you're done dispensing, which is a great touch because I always found that so annoying. Overall this product resembles the quality of a product like Beard Lube by Jack Black, but at a fraction of the cost, it's definitely the best bang for the buck in my opinion.

I recently switched from shaving foams to gels because I’ve heard gels are more moisturizing, and that was definitely the case with the Dove shave gel. My skin is fairly sensitive, so I often get irritation bumps after shaving-but not with this product! My skin felt smooth and refreshed after shaving. I also like the clean scent and the fact that a little seemed to go a long way.

I gave up on shaving gels a few years ago because i did not like how sticky they were on both my face and the razor. I bought this one because I as buying the whole DOVE set. Dove made this better by formulating it somehow to be more foamy and less dense. It still sticks slightly to the razor but not enough to concern me. The scent is very subtle and nice and my skin truly feels softer and with much less razor burn. Its what happens after you shave with this product that's better than regular shaving cream,; my skin feels nicer and softer.

It was a experiment in which I approach a complete stranger of the opposite sex, and after a couple minutes of talking, invite them to feel my face. Surprise was the first reaction, and those who would comply would always say the same thing.."Wow, your skin is sooo soft!"I know right.After shaving, My skin feels baby soft. That's the first thing I love about the gel. the second thing is the smells.The scent is pleasant, vaguely aftershave-ish, without being too overpowering.And the Residue is minimal. I've have some aftershaves that were terribly messy and a real hassle too clean up. The dove gel is a quick and easy clean.I don't know if every order comes with a bonus, but along with my shave gel, I received a small travel size bottle of dove men care "aqua impact" body and face wash. I haven't used it yet, but judging from the results I got from the shave gel, I'm excited to see how this product delivers.Please note,If you don't already exfoliate on a regular basis, the gel might promote some exfoliating activity. REVIEW: DOVE Men +Care Shave Gel Hydrate+I certainly do not enjoy shaving every morning but since I have no desire to sport a beard or moustache there seems to be no alternative. Like many other men I cannot get a satisfactory shave using an electric razor so I have no option but to use the traditional method. I recently tried DOVE's MEN +CARE Hydrate+ shaving gel and found it to be very good for lubricating the skin so the razor can glide smoothly and do its' job more efficiently.In addition to the essential lubricating quality it did not irritate my skin and the remainder washed off cleanly. The scent was reasonably subdued and did not linger after the final rinse. I found the lubricating quality of the gel to be higher than the normal soap foam variety.I rate this product 9.5 on a scale of 10.

I bought the shave gel for my boyfriend. Dove usually makes pretty good products and I'm never disappointed, so I decided to give their men's products ago. The gel had a rather pleasant fragrance. Many of the other shave gels have a rather strong "manly" smell to them, but this one was very mild, mild enough that I could use it as well. My boyfriend said he liked the lather, it was very rich and smooth and his skin was really sofy and smooth. He sometimes gets an occasional nick and razor burn, but none when he used this gel. I will definitely continue buying this gel.

I’ve tried every shaving cream and I finally found one that actually leaves my skin hydrated. I used a shaving cream almost twice as expensive for 3 years and had to use a heavy moisturizer every time after shaving. Even after that I still my skin was still on the dry side. Now it’s not something that I worry about and my shave is always clean and comfortable

Definitely met or exceeded my expectations. The product does feel really good to the skin and provides a smooth easy shave. I know it costs double the Gillete Fusion brand but I believe you do get the quality you pay for. Very creamy and easy to apply on the face; a good smooth hydrated feeling after. The skin doesn't end up dry and itchy from the irritation.
