how many bcds will this hold? I'm looking for a unit that will hold the BCD for both my wife and me.

if you plan to put anything else in it other then the 2 BCDs I would say no. It does hold all my equipment less tank and weights and full face mask. beware of taking tools with you as a carry on as they may take most of them away at security as they did from me.

Is this water proof and ok to be used as an every day gear bag?

This is not waterproof, but is durable enough for everyday use.

Will my aqua lung express Adj technisubs fins fit in this bag

I have Womens small Aqua Lung Fins that are 23.5" long. I put them in criss crossing each other (like an 'X') in the bag. I fit my fins, full wet suit, BCD, regulator, mask and swim suit in the bag and take with me as a carry on so I have the most important things with me should I lose my luggage. It is a tight fit and it is not fun if airport security makes you take it all out and put back in but this is the only bag I found so far that I can use as a carry on and get everything I want in it.
