Mac user - very impressed
I’m a keen Apple user. As a designer, though, I needed a PC to power my industrial printer. After researching basic PC’s for a while, I was surprised to learn that Surface’s can be switched to full PC mode. I took the punt on the off chance that my specialise software (Versaworks) would run on it. It does. Not only that but I have been thrilled with the Windows 11 OS it ships with. Sure it won’t convert me back to Mac. It’s still Windows being Windows. But this is the best PC I have ever used at this price range so the fact it doubles as a tablet impressed me massively.I purchased this with the Microsoft Surface Keyboard to complete the mini PC experience.I did purchase on Prime Day so got it a bit cheaper however, having used it now, I would have paid full price as it is excellent.

Light and prtable
Used these as waiter pads in a previous place of work. Nice and light, and if put in a rugged case, could take a drop or two.

Love it!
I was a bit apprehensive abouy purchasing this to replace my 5 year old tablet. The reviews seem to suggest it was a bit sluggish at times and maybe not worth the (heavy) asking price.Nothing to worry about! As long as you have some knowledge of windows you can get this running smoothly in no time.Lovely tablet. Well made and robust. Quality.Recomendations: Use the new Win 11 disc optimiser to keep the HD running efficiently and turn off any menu animation. That speeds things up no end. Keep the apps to a minimum, and save to an SD card any docs/pics etc that you don't need to clog your HD up with.Very happy!

Superbly portable. Needs an adaptor to use with external monitors
I'm very impressed with this tablet. It is powerful enough for office use and superbly portable with a very crisp screen. Having only one USB-C port is a bit of a hassle, but adding a separately purchased USB-C Hub with HDMI, a couple of USB 3 ports and a USB C port works well. The screen resolution is good, but things are very small, so (a) a mouse or pen really is useful and (b) when not travelling I always plug it in to an external monitor. Great for watching Amazon Prime or Netflix when staying in hotels overseas (I take the HSB-C Hub and a cable to plug into the hotel TV - keeps the family happy!).The writing and conversion of hand writing to text in Microsoft Notes works well (a key work-related reason this was bought). Not cheap when you add the attachable Microsoft Keyboard / cover, Bluetooth Microsoft mouse, microsoft Pen, and a laptop sleeve to pop it all in - but worth it!

Worse than the Go 2
So disappointing. I had both the first and second editions of the go and had been for-warned this model wasn’t great. Persevered, but ultimately returned as it’s just not good enough and for the price offers very poor value. As always, the form factor of the device is great and it’s lovely to use. The display and camera are streets ahead of the other windows tablets of this size. But that’s about the end of the good stuff. It’s woefully underpowered and stutters when you do pretty much anything. I used both windows 10 and 11, turning off animation and transparency effects, etc. but it’s just really, really bad at handling more than the very simplest of tasks. I work inside the browser most of the time and using edge alongside the slack desktop client meant regular standstills and frequent restarts, crashes and hangs. All the while, the tablet chews through the battery super fast. An hour of web browsing and doing just basic work = 35% power consumed. The tablet heats up almost instantly and the fan starts running. Surely both contribute to excessive power consumption.Lovely design and great to carry around.. but in reality just unusable.

"silver surfer" so not tech minded
Not tech minded but find how to do what I need when I have to. Was very nervous about replacing my 8-year old surface 3. But took my chance on this one. So far, very happy (Once got used to new layout of Windows 11 home screen!). Found it very easy to set up. (son set up my old one!) Ordered keyboard cover separately - both arrived on due date, securely packaged. Doesn't take as long to charge as my old surface. and battery seems to last much longer. Overall very happy. Only criticism (so far on old surface when checking battery life left just gives percentage and not actual no of hours/mins left....Edited July 2022: Used over a few weeks now. For some reason, sometimes after only 2-3 hours use, battery low warning, so have to plug in to continue using. Apart from that, still very happy....

A present that really delivers
I bought this as a 70th Birthday Peesent for my mum and it has been so easy to set up with her and get into using it. She is involved in Guiding and WI and often has to take minutes, whilst she used to lug her laptop around this is more convenient and the battery lasts a little bit longer (though I note not as long as my Lenovo Chrome Book of a similar size). The Microsoft mouse that was recommended with it she calls the best mouse she's ever had which connected via Bluetooth without the normal efforts of connecting a Bluetooth device. Just easy to use all round and easy to set up.

Just not up to the job
I bought this device to use for an online course.Use an iPad for the rest of my work, which includes illustration and cartoon, drawing as well as music in production, I wanted something different to use for a technical online course that I was doing.Unfortunately this device just isn’t up to the job. It’s incredibly slow, it seems to be loaded with software that has been installed before I bought it (I think they called this bloatware in the trade), and the screen sensitivity is just plain awful. In the end, I spent a little more money and bought another smaller iPad in order to do the work I needed to do.I hate to sound like an apple fan boy, but I have to say that even the cheapest iPad leave is this device standing in the dust.
