Got this because I thought “hey these can beat my friends mechs.” It was a replay of the clan invasions. I watched all my mechs get blown away from ranges I thought not possible. Me and my teammate were on edge. I watched him fall that day. Always remembered rip guy who plays battletech. Great product would do again for trauma.

To start. The minis look good. The set comes with a hatchet man. A lighter mech with a melee weapon. A centurion, a medium mech with heavy mech attitude. It is the starter mech in the mechwarrior: 5 mercenaries videogame. It solid well rounded mech. The Grasshopper. A heavy mech with good speed and jump jets. And the banshee. An assult mech that just looks amazing. I bought two of these sets for the hatchetman. The centurions will be used alot in my narrative games. I want to get a feel for the grasshopper and banshee on the tabletop before i say too much. I am excited though. As a kit. I really like the mix of units. As a place to start or as a reenforcement to your set. It will be good. If you or a friend have the A Game of Armored Combat box or the Alphastrike box. You can feel confident that you can get a good game in. For the AGoAC rules, you will need to download the mech sheets from the offical site. The box does come with the alphastrike cards and is good to go out the box. Of the two boxes, one has a little difference. Either through manufacturing or a bit of warping. One of the hachets sits different to the other. It doesnt look wrong though and can only be seen if they are side by side. I wont change it. Just making note of it.

I have been collecting Battletech minis for 40 years and have about a brigade or two under my belt. I wish they had these years ago. Highly details, affordable, and light weight. I look forward to more releases.

The Inner Sphere Heavy Lance set is a great set of Mechs that I can recommend heartily to everyone. The Banshee is a fantastic all-rounder that takes and dishes damage in equal measure, the Centurion is the definition of a bodyguard, the Grasshopper works as a good mech in general, and the Hatchetman... the Hatchetman is just funny. The only complaints I have are that Catalyst minis sometimes have extra plastic left on them from the manufacturing process, but that can be fixed with a hobby knife. Overall, a great kit for those looking to add some meat to a lance.

These new mechs that have been redesigned and cast are amazing!!! Gone r the floppy plastic mech days. Bye Bye GW for me with all the new core rules every two years, the CONSTANT price increase etc etc. I am strictly Battletech from now on...
