I'm not a "green" type of person by all means, but these are very good notebooks. I've used them for years taking notes. The paper doesn't bleed with ink nor tear easily. Many of my notebooks I've kept past filling them. I use about one per semester and have saved them for the life of my college and graduate career. These notebooks hold the test of time, ware and tear, perfect for in class essay's, notes, general notes at home. They come divided for easy subject matters, pockets in the divisions for papers and lose leaf items. Only thing is that they portray a color here and they don't come the same color, while I did not wish to order red, it was the only one I found, it should have a drop down to choose your color if they send you different colors than shown. I received green, which was much nicer than the red. But I'd have liked a option, I wouldn't have wished to receive a purple one as an example. Nor a black one since I write the year, subjects, etc.Update: Updated to 5 Star (3rd Reorder)So I have decided to update on these, after several reorders (over the last 2 years) the quality is still the same as the original, again there is no picking color but one can't be choosy when the product is simply this good. One thing that makes me come back continually to these is the paper quality. Pens do not bleed, pencils do not smear, and the edges tear easily at the perforation. I've tried several other name brands, 5 Star Notebooks, Staples, etc and none come to the quality of these. The paper comes from sugar cane which makes a thick non-waxy and heavyweight paper that holds up well to the beatings of everyday usage. Will reorder again and again until they are no longer sold.

So I’m the type of person to go with whatever is cheaper, so I usually buy the cheap notebooks. Typically it’s a hate hate relationship because the paper is flimsy and the ink from pens alwayssssss runs through. So when buying these notebooks I didn’t really expect anything more than what I had imagined it would be. I just bought these because why not give it a try and the reviews seemed really good. After using the notebooks for school for 3 weeks already OH MY GOSH I’ll recommend these to everyone. Amazing price for the quality of the product. 1st- I love the separation of the two subjects by a folder pocket. 2nd- you get enough pages for a semester of notes in each subject section. 3rd- let me tell you....this paper is thick and I’ve had noooo problem at all with ink running through. I don’t even see shadows of ink on the other side either.I’d recommend these notebooks to anyone searching for a quality notebook. I’ll definitely keep ordering these as I need them.

These are by far my favorite notebooks. Not just because they're more ecofriendly, but because of the paper quality. The paper is thicker, and I don't feel like it's going to rip by accident like some other notebooks that I've used. It's also incredibly smooth to write on. They're a bit on the expensive side, but they're excellent regardless.

Fantastic notebooks. A sustainable choice that's a pleasure to write in. Feels more solid than the five star plastic sheathed notebooks I purchased last year. Worth the price for the quality and eco friendliness.If you vote with your wallet for a habitable planet- this is a good way to do so.

This notebook is awesome and worth the money. The paper is thick and sturdy. My pens don't leak through the paper, which is often an issue I have with other notebooks. Would absolutely recommend and will buy again!

The notebooks are great and recycled paper. We love them.At some point in the process, though, the notebooks had something spilled on the,. The top left corner is water damaged and smells like something artificially floral. I would not have purchased those damaged goods in person. As it is, my daughter needed notebooks for class and decided to use them anyway. Should have been sold as salvage not new.

Love this notebook. It is sturdy and lasts me all semester. Just can't understand why it is so challenging to find post consumer recycled content binders that are at least 70%. It should be hard to find paper that isn't recycled right?

I would love to give these 5 stars. However I bought 4 total; 2 to subject and 2 one subject notebooks. Both sets came in the same color which is a pain when you go to reach for them in your bag and pull out the wrong one. 5 stars for them to have an option to select color.

Perfect. Exactly what I needed.

What I wanted out of a notebook was one with dividers. Other subject notebooks have dividers. This is just a large notebook. It's good quality and I like that it is sugarcane paper but I think its false advertising to call it a five subject notebook when it is clearly just a large notebook.Also there are only 160 pages instead of 200.I'm pretty disappointed.

Only got 160 pages, but the Amazon item description states 200 pages, the seller should change title description. Paper quality is good.
