Ok so this is my first review on any item I've purchased on Amazon. I felt I needed a review on this particular product because it not only exceeded my expectations, but all in all is a very well, warm, and stylish winter hat. The pin came pre-installed, I've noticed people saying that it was not attached and you had to put it on yourself but this was not the case with mine. There was no funny smell and the material seemed of very high quality. My only complaint is the sizing, my head isnt the largest but even the medium seems a little snug. I'm sure with time the hat will give and become more spacious for my cranium but it isnt a breaking point for me. It's a very cool hat, looks good and serves its purpose.

A very nice hat - warm and looks great. I am actually looking forward to winter now that I have a hat that will protect me from the cold. The fit is about right and the seller detached the emblem so I can decide myself whether to fit it or not. The fitting instructions were clear and fitting will be easy. If anyone wants an attractive, warm winter hat at a reasonable price, this is the perfect answer.Although I realize that the hat emblem is based on the Russian KGB, it would be good to have an American alternative emblem to display. A shot of red and gold color at the front would be great without the 'stigma' of something that says 'Russian'. No one would ever mistake the origin of the hat, but an American emblem of some sort would make the item absolutely perfect.

I ordered a couple of these hats, sizes L and M, for myself and a relative. We are both quite pleased with our purchase. These hats look very nice but aren't just for show; they are quite comfortable and really do keep your head warm, especially when you utilize the ear flaps.The seller actually cares about his (or her) customer's satisfaction. Standard, the hat comes with three pins: two red stars, and your choice of either a red star surrounded by gold leaves or a two-headed gold eagle. The seller was prompt in responding to my email specifying which of the two selectable pins I would like, which was the red star surrounded by gold leaves. Not only this, but as a bonus they included a two-headed eagle pin as well as two Russian 10-Rubel coins with my order!Shipping took about two weeks. Reasonable considering that these hats come straight from the Motherland herself.Highly recommended overall. You simply cannot beat the price, quality, and customer service you get with these hats.

Not exactly like The Hunt for Red Oktober, but very nice.

Bought for my son's (10) history presentation on Russia. It fit him well but he has a large head for a ten-year-old. Would likely fit an adult. There are not holes to attach the pin, but we were able to find suggestions online for poking it through. High quality material all around. He has sensory issues and thought it was very comfortable. Too bad we like in Arizona and would never need something this warm. Wonderful costume piece and would be great for every day in very cold weather.

This is really a cool hat! The real size of the hat I received is 59. I am male,about 5'8 (for whatever help that will be) and this hat fits perfectly. According to a printed sheet that came with my Ushanka hat the size can be altered somewhat, up or down, and there are instructions on how to acquire that information. It appears to have been well constructed and actually made in Belarus. The badge that comes with the hat, while not a reflection of my politics, also looks pretty cool against the black fur.My order came in a large, padded shipping envelope and got here in good time.I am very pleased with Amazon, with the seller, and with my new hat! In fact, I am ordering a second Ushanka hat as soon as I'm finished with this review.
