I like it... Assuming no unexpected breakdowns, this seems like a good purchase...
Prior to the holidays, I checked out a treadmill I wanted to purchase. It was in the $425 range, and I figured since it was Amazon, I'd find it next time I came to look, no problem. Not a trace of it when I came back a month or two later, so I settled on this Schwin 830 and spent a couple hundred more than I originally planned. I feel it was worth it, especially given that the model I originally looked at had a top speed of approximately 8.7 mph and 3 MANUAL incline settings while this Schwinn can hit 12 mph.My Schwinn 830 arrived when Amazon said it would. Amazon's guys from a 3rd party provider assembled it. Both the delivery guys and the assembly guy did a great job. The lady I spoke with at Amazon Home to schedule the installation also did a great job. It seems very sturdy so far. It has lots of options for this price range. I'm not the most coordinated individual so I got this one, in part, because of the wider belt. The side rails extend out far enough for me. I haven't fallen off yet. Some people have complained about the sound and said it's too loud. To each their own, but I do NOT feel that this unit is too loud. What is loud is it's countdown when it's about to begin a workout, but it's like 3 or 4 beeps. Others have complained that it is slow to speed up to the target speed, and I'd have to agree on that. It is absolutely slow reaching the target speed, however, this is a lower priced home unit and I feel you have to take that into account. Would I have preferred a Life Fitness brand like I use at our campus fitness center? Absolutely. Would I have preferred to pay several thousand dollars+ for it? I'm afraid not. When I read some treadmill reviews, the two main gripes on the Schwinn 830 appeared to be that it's warranty wasn't as good as many other treadmills, and that it's softer surface wasn't as good for simulating real life running. OK, I get it on the warranty, but for the softer surface, I'm using this to lose weight and hopefully stay in better shape. I've lost 30+ lbs in the last year thanks to treadmills at my campus fitness center, so as long as it helps me continue to burn calories and lose fat, I'm fine if it doesn't simulate the hard surface you would find in the real world - and it's not ridiculously soft by any means. If I was that worried, I'd have probably gone for a model that would support iFit. A professional runner would no doubt feel different than I do.I'm happy with this treadmill so far, and given the same choices, barring anything unexpected, I'd purchase it again.Pros: Cost is great, unit is sturdy, high mph (12mph) and inclines, slightly wider belt, measures a variety of statistics, multiple profilesCons: The warranty probably could be better as others suggested in the treadmill review sites, the countdown to workout beeper is a bit loud, though luckily it's short, yes, it is slower to reach the target speed but if you really put it into perspective, it's not THAT long - it just seems it when you're chomping at the bit to workout

Wish I researched a little more...
I wish I never purchased this August 28th, 2017. It is now Nov 17th and the product is not working properly.Even if it worked properly I want to point out somethings. When customizing programs the speed increments only can be in .5 increments. That along with the request that min speed and max speed is required when starting a program makes it convoluted when trying to create a program. Also, ALL programs(default and custom) can only be broken up into 16 segments, check the pic. An example is when you have a 16-minute workout the size of each segment would be a minute. The smallest increment for a speed or incline change is 1 minute. Ok but let's say you have a 32-minute workout, then the smallest increment is now 2 minutes. That is a little frustrating because I want to have just a minute or 30 seconds of increased incline or increased speed. The time or distance can only be divided in 16teenths.And now it freezes after any workout. It stops completely right after a workout like the safety pin is pulled out. Not only no cooldown but the buttons are not responsive. I mean completely freezes! And I can only turn it off and back on to be able to do anything. I am waiting on parts and service... not fun in the least. Yes, it's under warranty but this is ridiculous.

Love it so far
This is my second treadmill I have owned. I have used them along with elliptical machines in gyms for years. I searched for 1 to replace a treadmill that was given to me and was about to finish its lifespan. Previous treadmill was a simple $300 no frills treadmill. It served its purpose but was basic basic.I researched long and hard before buying. Kept reading reviews online about how you should purchase higher end treadmills which were all around $1600 and up. But after a lot of thought and research i decided on the Schwinn. I liked the 2.75hp motor. Not quite a 3.0hp, but close. And way better than othner 2 or 2.5hp treadmills in this price range. Had free setup by Amazon which was flawless. The treadmill is perfect for me. I'm not an everyday runner but have ran both half and full marathons has recent as the SF Full in 2017. It goes 12mph which I have no desire to max out. That's a 5 minute mile and not for me anyway. I run around the 7 to 8 minute mile pace. The inline goes to 12 degrees which if you haven't used an incline before is great. You can put a good incline and a fast walking pace and get a great sweat going. If you run, it gets intense quick. The running surface is great and much more give than my past treadmill. As I get older my joints will appreciate it.The programs are more than enough for me. I usually do my programs manually but there are a whole loit of settings depending on what you like. The HR handles seem fairly accurate to me and nice. I haven't used any Bluetooth as of yet. The speakers if turned up will get distorted quick. But they are nice for someone who doesn't have headphones or other speakers nearby. The display is easy to read and you can program profiles into it. The fan isn't too powerful but it's nice to have. Blows toward the chest depending on height.Plenty of space for phones, remotes, towels, drinks,All I all, I paid $599 with free set up and I'm super satisfied with this unit. 4 out of 5 stars due to unknown longevity. Weak speakers too but I'm not personally concerned with that as I have nice speakers in my home gym already. Others may not though.
