I like that I can use this without depending on my phone for my music source. Amazon music and iheart radio are ok, Spotify is hit and miss but I would like to be able to use pandora or my Sirius soon.

I bought the 4 source version to run with my OSD Max12 Whole Home Amplifier and the pair work great together. However, I took off 1 star because pandora wasn’t there, and the app would not work over in-bound vpn even though the other OSD app does work on inbound vpn. The OSD Player apps wants you to be on WiFi but when you vpn into your home from Wiregard app don’t use WiFi. The OSD Max12 app doesn’t care about WiFi so it just works. You do need to have accounts in the streamers apps. I created Amazon, Tidal, Spotify, and Tune-In accounts. I can stream Pandora (anything else over Airplay) which works fine. However, when you stream over you phone it limits what you can do with the phone and runs down battery. You can created favorites and presets. I still don’t understand the “inputs” on each of the 4 Zones, but I did figure out the global inputs. I could not get that working yet but fortunately I have needed to use that part of the streamer as the “outputs” are the main use case for me.

The Streaming Server works great however it's a pain to fully integrate, as they have no documentation. They list RS-485 control as a feature but have yet to post the documentation of supported commands. They also need to have a documentation of network ports used yet, there is none, Sonos provides this right on there website: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/688?language=en_US . I also contacted Support 4 times about information on any of these and all I got back was the auto response and crickets each time. Could be great I like the form factor better than using a bunch of Sonos Ports. Currently using these to get 12v Trigger output from each zone but Obviously that gets expensive: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QS89MZG/ The Features Missing (Besides documentation, which I plan on posting to the OSDAudio Subreddit once I figure out). - 12 Triggers, This really should have 12v trigger outputs 1 per Zone as well as one main out that turns on any time any zone is active. - Input Sharing, like the Sonos Port does the input should be available over the network to any device as a source but it's only available to the local zones to the device, so if you have more than one STR4 you will need to connect it to both.
