Perfect replacement! I received it flat so I don't have to worry about rolling up. It's durable and thick enough that I don't see dents when I sit down.(I'm a little chunky :) 150lbs. It took me less than 2 minutes to replace the old mat with this one. That was only because I needed to vacuum the space before I put down this one.

It is difficult to find a hard surface chair mat, but this one works well. It is shipped flat, so doesn't have a permanent curled edge (it is stiffer and more sturdy than others, so it could not be shipped any other way). I'm glad I found this one since most of the others tend to balk at moving your chair. This replaces one just like it that I had for six years before it finally cracked...so it should hold up well.

I spend a lot of time at the computer editing audio and video. We just moved into a new house and have carpet in the office now so I had to buy one of these mats. I have been burned before by mats that curl up on the edges and I did NOT want to spend $50 just to have to deal with that, so I tried this one. I was SO EXCITED when it arrived packaged in a big flat cardboard box! NO UNROLLING! HALLELUJAH! I put it in place and that very night my 230 pound husband sat and worked at the computer for about 3 hours and it was great! Here's what I love:- SIZE: While I would prefer to have an even bigger size so I could roll around to all the corners of my large editing desk and nearby drawers, but the bigger the mat, the more expensive, so I went middle of the road with this and it's certainly large enough to accommodate my standard office chair and some drifting around without it going over the edge accidentally. This size is certainly sufficient if you don't have to roll around too much! I got the 37" x 45" with the rectangular lip.- THICK: Unlike others I've tried, this mat feels really thick and durable. I admit that I worry about cracking but have had no problems with that yet and because it's polycarbonate I have high hopes that it won't!- NO CURLING: Because of the material it's made of, you never have to worry about the edges curling, regardless of how long you use it. Nothing makes me crazierWhat I don't like so much:- SLIPAGE: This does have nice little carpet cleats but still moves around a little on our medium pile carpet which is unfortunate but isn't a deal breaker. I think most mats do "wander" a little bit over time. It isn't a significant amount, just an inch or two here or there but it still requires occasional re-positioning which is a bit annoying. If the carpet cleats were more substantial perhaps this wouldn't be an issue.Other than that I really love this mat so far and can highly recommend it! I'll update if it cracks or dents at some point but so far so good! For the record I did NOT receive this item for free or at a discount. Hope this helps!

This thing barely qualifies for low pile carpet. Literally slides on medium pile carpet because the studs are so stupid short. Sizing was off too, It's 35.5"x48" which is not a huge deal, but still misleading. The whole thing was misleading. I have to move this thing after every use at my desk because it constantly slides to the right while I'm working. If it doesn't fall apart in a year I'll be surprised, but if it keeps sliding I may just throw it away and find something that was actually made for medium pile carpet. I'm not giving this thing high marks for durability or sturdiness because why should I believe it is after everything else about turned out to be bogus.EDIT: After 5 months the mat has already cracked and has a hole in it. Probably because it couldn't grip a high pile carpet to save it's life. I've bought cheaper mats from that held up longer than this POS.

Best thing is it's delivered flat. Others you need a heat gun or hair dryer. Why does anyone have to buy something to unroll the others. The other plus is that I received it earlier than expected. I had ordered another brand that was made in the New England area but it never came after two different tries. This one was from the south east with same price. Would buy again but I doubt that I would have to. Great company & great price.
