Not enough lubricant in the pack.
Their wasn't enough lubricant to get all the way around the o ring so the top would just unscrew off. When they don't have enough it gets difficult to get off and own to get the debris going into your basket.

I lubed it up, installed it , turned the pump on and no leaks. Good purchase.

Don’t use the lubricant
Lubricant provided is not what’s recommended for this application. O ring fit fine withthe recommended Lubricant

Perfect Fit
The O-ring fit perfectly, having the grease come with it is a bonus so I didn't have to buy it separately. Now I have an extra one as a back up for future use.

Great Fit - Easy Solution
It was a very simple and easy process to replace my worn out O ring with this product. The grease provided works well and ensures that the pump cover is easy to remove and will not corrode the rubber O ring or cause it to expand. Great product. Will buy again as needed.
