These rubber sole grippers have a great glue and have stuck very well to my shoe soles for a couple of months. Whoever designed them did a good job. They aren't too thick or too thin, and the rubber tread makes shoes stable on smooth surfaces. I use them on two pair of shoes. My leather sole penny loafers are too slick and these sole additions give me the extra traction I need at age 75+. They also make shoe soles last longer. One of my second cheap loafers tended to make my foot slide sideways. Adding a small piece of these rubber grippers to the edge of the sole solved the problem. I can envision other uses, including repairing holes in shoe soles and sealing other leaks. I highly recommend!
