Regalo Extra Tall Widespan Gate, White

Bought this gate to add an additional barrier so my dogs don't escape from the flat. It took me about 45 minutes to set up since I fussed and fretted over using one of the two extensions given or not. The gate covers a span of 46 inches at present with the just one extension added to it. In terms of quality, it seems sturdy, but it would have been helpful to receive 2 extra rubber ends & the plastic screw ins. The plastic screw ins do not give me confidence that they will last. A simple nut might have been better. So far it seems to be doing the job well. The locking system took a day to get used to and doesn't look like its the best in terms of quality so fingers crossed and I hope it lasts - its been 10 days since I've had it installed.

Did not fit in staircase with either attachment, both were too big and with the gate alone it was too small (only just) the extendable feet were coming out with the slightest bit of pressure. They would cost over 50 pounds to send back via Royal Mail so I'm now stuck with gates that are not fit for purpose. Avoid.

Das Prinzip ist, dass bei der Montage durch das Spannen die Öffnung der Türe oben zusammengedrückt wird, so dass der Spalt, der anfangs absichtlich groß ist, dadurch kleiner wird. Sonst schließt die Türe nicht richtig und sicherunser Exemplar bog sich dann aber unten derart nach oben durch, dass die Türe unten klemmte oder schliff. Entweder war das eine Serienstreuung oder das Prinzip ist nicht gut gelöst.Auf einen weiteren Versuch habe ich wegen der Portokosten verzichtet, das Paket ist 70 x 100, so dass man es nicht einfach mit der Post zurückschicken kann, sondern abholen lassen muss.

I think the price of the item is a little on the expensive side for the quality that I got. One side of the gate came bent so the door wouldn't latch until I cranked one of the side anchors screws to offset the bend and make it parallel to the gate door. The side anchors don't thred into the gate like shown in the instructions or the product images so you have to hold them in there until you can pressure fit it to the door. What screws everything to a tight fit is the plastic nut, not the bolt to the gate. Because of this, I would be hesitant mounting the gate off the floor at any height. Downward pressure would jackknife the wall mounts because the fitting is too lose.The gate door itself fits snuggly to the gate and has a double closure ensure no accidently escapes.

Great gate, easy to open, very sturdy when installed correctly. Installation was very easy. The packaging tells you, but don’t be alarmed when the door does not stay closed until you fully twist the pressure adjustments to be flush on the wall.
