A magnificent and useful gift for my 9-year-old daughter to improve her math.

Solid mechanical learning toy
This is an excellent educational toy. My 4 year old wants to play with it, and so does my 10 year old who no longer needs the practice. It's just a fun mechanical design. I love that this doesn't require batteries or electronics that are going to wear out in a few years. I had a mechanical multiplication toy (not like this one) when I was a kid that my kids still pick up and play with at their grandparents' house; I'm hoping this will have similar longevity.

Sturdy enough for a toddler.
If you have a toddler who loves numbers and math - this is a nice little gift because they can do multiplication tables on it, learn arithmatic and it is sturdy enough that if they drop it or it falls to the floor, it will not break. Does division, addition, and subtraction also.
