MagswitchUniversal Featherboard Pro, Universal Model 81101303

Got a chance to try one out and realized in less than a minute that I wanted one. I have the style that clamp into the miter slots and while they work they can be cumbersome at times. Plus there have been many times when they would just not reach the stock because of the limitations.Well these magnets really hold this one in place wherever you place it on the cast iron. I purposely put it slightly over the miter slot and it still held great. But for me the bonus is this works even better for my band saw.The unit works so smoothly to engage and disengage the magnets. In fact I can't even tell they have grabbed until I try and move it. I can now Easily and QUICKLY disengage the featherboard, reposition it for the next piece, then continue ripping away. Takes me about 5 seconds. I LOVE THIS THING.

High-quality strong magnets works well

An awesome tool that serves as a third hand and a thin strip jig! Magnets are powerful and the grippy pads underneath keeps it firmly in place.But at nearly $100.00, mine had a small defect where one of the stopper end was not straight. I looked for a replacement part to fix it but can't seem to find any. Does anyone have a link to a spare part?

MagSwitch stuff is pricey, but I figured I'd splurge and treat myself to some high-end accessories. Quality is there, but I disappointed came from clamping force; pull is fine, but lateral force (bump it sideways) was less than I expected. I've used an old "wooden block" version for over 20 years, and trying to slide that sideways takes some effort, even with it being that old. Of course, that doesn't have a switchable magnet, so lacks the convenience. Keeping this one, but as I said, for $90+, I'm not as impressed as I would have liked.

I thought the MagSwitch pro model with the metal stop buttons were a gimmick UNTIL I started using the Pro Model. The adjustable stops are very handy, I use the MagSwitch on my table saw, band saws and jointer while working on woodworking projects. I also use the Mag-switch fence on every cast iron table top machine I have. These magnetic tools are fun to use, very effective and make any project setup so much easier. I highly recommend the MagSwitch T32240 - Pro Universal Featherboard. By the way, I have NOT been paid to leave this review. I just feel these tools are something you will love to use in all your project work.
