Major letdown
I love the Stephanie Plum series. However this was a letdown. It felt more like a college essay or that the author was going through the motions to meet a deadline. After 23 books, I'd like to see a little more substance, more of Joe and Ranger, and maybe even a third love interest to kick Joe and or Ranger into gear. And it's ok to make the story line a little more complex; your readers are smart and can follow along.

Make It Stop
This will likely be my last purchase in the series. Whole chunks of text are direct from earlier books. The writing quality has continually depreciated over the last several books in the series, and I suspect they are largely being written by someone else. Not worth the time or the money. Re-read an older Plum instead, you will enjoy it more.

Plum Repeats Her Storyline Once Again
Save your money and reread one of the earlier Plum books - this is just a redo of the last 10 + books in the series. Sorry but only the scenery changes, same plot line, same men story line etc. The idea is she is a college grad with no usable skills, does the bounty job half way & hops back & forth between 2 men. She doesn't get ahead, she doesn't change, she is definitely NOT a good example to younger girls. Sorry, this has been my last Evanovich book.

This will be my last Stephanie plum novel. Author can't seem to get past the same old stuff. Why pay money for a book where the main character never grows up

Same old, same old.
So disappointed. Same old thing. Same Lula. Same Stephanie. Not sure if Evanovich even wrote it. Stephanie needs to be brought to an end. Get her pregnant and marry her off or something. (BTW, I have purchased them from the beginning and enjoyed them until the last several.)

Not her best
I was a bit dIsappointed with this one. I have read all the Stephanie Plum series and loved them all. My favorite character is Grandma Mazur, she is not a huge part of this story and I was more than dIsappointed, the wasn't a lot of Stephanie's bumbling and accidental captures as in the other books. This book fell short of what had been delivered in the previous books.

Forgetta bout it.
After years and years of planning the next 48 hours after a book was released I just don't care. I am confident I have read the same text over and over. Don't waste your $. In a day o two your local goodwill will have it for $1.00.00.Also can I ask, how long are we to believe that Rex the miracle hamster has been alive for?

Getting old
The books are great but going between two lovers is getting old. After 23 books we are no closer to knowing which guy she will end up with. I want to see Stephanie married and happy. Or she can fall for someone new. Finish these books and do a new one.

As a fan of Stephanie Plum I enjoyed this book as it follows the usual format. However it is not worth £14 and my advice would be to wait and buy a cheap second hand copy or get someone else to buy it for you as a present.

Reading Stephanie Plum's latest story is an annual pilgrimage for many. Turbo Twenty-Three and the very talented Janet Evanovich didn't disappoint, even if it was less saucy than its predecessor. I thoroughly enjoyed it.However, I was surprised to be charged £13.99 (currently, hardcover available with Amazon Prime for the same price). Bad Amazon, bad.

Not Great but Need It For my Series Collection
I was a huge fan of the Stephanie Plum books and there are probably none better than the early books in the series. However; the books have the same repetitive plot lines i.e. who will she choose Ranger or Morelli; Grandma will find a new boyfriend, the button factory will be mentioned at least once, how many cars will be destroyed.... the list goes on.I'm giving this 3 stars more from nostalgic reasons rather than for the story or plot. I always bought these books as soon as they were released in hard back - this stopped at book 14 as there was definitely a drop in entertainment and story. I now wait until the paperbacks have been out a while before I purchase as I don't feel they are worth paying full price. I feel obligated to keep buying though as they're a series. I've said before and I'll say it again; Janet Evanovich really needs to think about finishing the series up.

More fun from Ms Plum and friends
I binge read the first 22 books in this series between early 2012 and late 2015 and then took a break. Picking this up after four years was like returning to a group of old friends after an absence.I had the ebook/audiobook combination as I love Lorelei King’s narration. Even though the plot was predictable, I consider it entertaining comfort reading. It had me in stitches mainly for the set pieces like Grandma Mazur’s love life and Lulu and Randy Briggs attempts to become reality tv stars. The central mystery was also satisfying.

A bit meh but an OK fix until a better Stephanie Plum adventure comes along.
SP adventure 23 doesn’t hold the same grip as many of the earlier adventures but it coasts along ok enough for a fix until a better take comes along. Terrible resolution of the Ranger story line - there is almost nothing from him at SP’s finalé take down not even a ‘Babe’ let alone some more thoughts from SP on her ever complex love triangle ( I’m doing my best not to give anything away here...) All in all an anti climax but I’m in it for the long haul and hope for a return to form. Evanovich not on top form, a bit rushed. Not looking for Tolstoy but this is a bit thin on substance even by SP standards.
