Everything slid in place without a hitch. Solid construction, heavy materials, great hardware. I did use a different style of floor guide, though. I didn't want to score the bottom of the door. Really beautiful!! Lots of compliments.

First time installing a barn door application so did some research. This product had great reviews. Would say well made, instructions spot on and well written. Once up, working as described. I will say the door guide provided a bit beyond the average consumers skill set. To be cutting a grove in your door or doors to handle what is basically a plastic guide seemed to be the only oversight in this product. I highly recommend buying a guide that has double rollers that can be adjusted once door on track that does not require drilling in your floor but mounted on the wall. With that said, happy with it so far.

Great value and kit overall. This is the best deal I was able to find. Came with all the hardware I needed without having to buy anything extra. The hardware is solid and better quality than expected. Good instructions, followed to a T, I appreciated the accuracy with the measurements for mounting. The reason for 4/5 stars: the vertical panels on the door are thin and have started to separate (second picture for reference). Before I built the door I had it indoors to acclimate for a few days. Once I put it together, which was very simple and straight forward, I sanded, conditioned, two coats of stain, one coat of poly. Appropriate drying times at each step. I kept the trim on the doorway and added a 1x4” to mount the rail to, hung the door, good to go. After about a month I noticed the vertical panels separating little by little. Now, this may very well be due to temperature and humidity changes (fall going into winter). If I were to do it over again I’d add wood glue to the tongue and grove of the vertical panels

Just got done installing this and I have to say it went up really well. This is a high quality product at a fraction of the price of a similar one at my local big box (blue) home improvement store. The materials are heavy and appear well made and all parts were present. Important things to note: 1. The rail is solid metal and comes in two sections with a strange connecting point that runs through the center mounting hole. 2. Wheels are heavy nylon and operate smoothly and quietly. 3. You HAVE to follow the directions and read the footnotes carefully. Mine stated it is highly recommend to mount the rail system to a 1x4 ledger board( not included) that has been attached to studs because while the holes are 16” apart they may not line up with your wall studs. I did this and it worked great. Also make sure to follow the measurements for the mounting height of the rail and the wheels and it gives you a nice floor and rail clearance. 4. I didn’t have any problems with the lag screws breaking as long as you drill suitable pilot holes. 5. I didn’t have any problem mounting the rail or keeping it level even though it is two pieces. I found a small nut and bolt and temporarily attached the two pieces together as I leveled and mounted it as one solid piece. My opening was smaller then 6.6 ft so I did need to cut the rail to fit. The only complaint I have, and it’s a small one, is that the set screws that’s hold the bumpers in place are too small and don’t adequately hold them in place. I will be ordering another for our next remodel project.

Easy installation and so sturdy! My husband installed one in our old house and it was a few hundred dollars. This was so much cheaper and just as strong! The door on it is old and solid wood. Very heavy. It rolls so easily. I installed this myself and while I've watched my carpenter husband do stuff like this, I'd never done it myself, but I had no problems! I wanted a triple barn door, but didn't want the track to stick out so far, so I installed two doors on a bypass closet track ($15 at lowes) in the doorway, and the last door on this single barn door track mounted over a 1x6 pine board with 3.5 inch interior wood screws. The result is perfect! I can push all three doors to either side at the same time to have a very wide opening. I get lots of compliments! The only downside is the track itself came in two pieces and fit together in the center like a puzzle piece, but without a second person to hold it up, that part was tough but I still got it.

I love the barn door hardware kit but a little disappointed it didn't come with the rail to hang it on. Thats kinda important. If I get the rails free I'll be sure to change this to 5 stars.
