General Motors Genuine Parts 12612384 Engine Control Module,silver

Had to replace the original one in my 08 Silverado 1500 as it had an intermittent fault and would cause the truck to completely die at highway speeds. Luckily, each time, (6x total), I was able to drift to the side of the road, turn off the key, and then start it back up one minute later. The Check Engine Light would come on but it would reset fairly quickly but then it would happen again. Code showed P0601: Replace Power Control Module. Of course it wouldn't work until it got programmed at the dealer and they charged me for one hour ($110) to install and flash. Hopefully this solved the problem but so far, so good!

These units are not tested before being sent out. BEWARE! Bought this unit and spent $170 for it to be programed just for the dealer to tell me it was defective and would not accept the programing. Buy else ware if you don't want to throw money and time away.
