Dorman CM640035 Clutch Master Cylinder Compatible with Select Audi / Volkswagen Models

It works on my 2003 VW Jetta GLI VR6

So when I bought this part I didn’t place it I. Until today. The functionality seemed good and for the cost plus I could get it quickly right, these quickly changed today when the device that pulls the fluid into the cylinder did not work properly. Even after installation. I look down and the part is no longer together opened bleeder to see if it was the issue same thing. At this point I’m lost for words.

Installed on 2001 Audi TT225. Fits and works.But EXCESSIVE (2 inche ?) dead pedal play.Squeekey noise when pressing.Doorman is 100% China made and it shows.But was the only one available quickly.I plan to replace at next opportunity with a better one.

I purchased this for my golf tdi, fitment was awful. I had to take the plastic retainer off that snaps into the clutch pedal and reuse the old one. Doesn't fit into the firewall well and the line where it snaps in doesn't fit very well and has to be forced in. Go with oem vw not thos Dorman junk

Horrible product the piston and rod completely ripped out of the cylinder from normal use after 6 months, and the clip on the clutch does not fit. Much better products on the market for this price or maybe a little higher. I would not recommend buying.

so far it works i had a time getting it to fit my vw jetta 1.9. It works, took a lot to get the clip to fit in back of the pedal and the port for the tubing kept blowing out until i gave a good angry wiggle to work it in i tried out the oem fittings on the slave and there was not this difficulty. i was able to get it all to work but i will update if it fails.

It technically will work. The fitment is terrible. The housing is wider than the original part making it very difficult to install without modification. The plastic retainer for the clutch pedal did not fit at all and I reused the old part.
