McLib's Southern Dumplings, 8oz Box, (Pack of 4) Bundled with a JFS Recipe Card

My Aunt told me about these so I tried them. They’re wonderful!! My whole family loves them. They’re a winner!!

When I first saw the paper thin strips of dumplings, I was sure I would be disappointed. NOT! I had simmered the carcass of a store-bought rotisserie chicken in a soup pot of water with a bit of onion, a carrot and chopped celery stalk. I removed the carcass and put some shreds of chicken aside, added about 1/4 cup of milk to the broth (in honor of my late mother's method) and put a healthy handful of McLib's dumplings and simmered till they were tender, added the saved chicken and thoroughly enjoyed my down-home dumplings.

To be honest, I have not ordered these from Amazon. I purchased a couple of times from a local cost + 10% store. I usually use Mary B's frozen, but like these for a change now and then. We call these 'slippery dumplings' because, well, they are slippery. But delicious. I do not understand the $8 a box price!! When I was able to find them at my local store, I think I paid maybe $2 a box. Unfortunately, the store doesn't carry them any more. I guess I'll ask them if they can stock again. Hopefully the manufacturer didn't raise the price so much that they will not. As far as the reviews that complained that they arrived broken...I break mine into about 1 inch pieces before dropping into my brofh, so unless they were just pulverized, I would think that the broken ones should not matter

Chicken and Dumplings

Liked the fact you boil your water with flavoring in the water drop these in and go. Cook on low because they can stick.

I ordered the 4 pack of Mclibbs southern dumplings. And received them. All 4 boxes of product. Dumplings. Were all broken in pieces. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money.
