Keeps hair stuck in place but has a very shiny look, in principle the gel is pretty much just vaseline. It may work for some but it just looks off on my hair

As a pomade if you want something that's gonna make your hair feel soft and leave your hair looking a bit shiny (almost greasy) but still give you a lighter hold, this is your stuff, I love the clove and cinnamon scent, very fall and winter season, Honestly lighter holds are really nice because they let your natural hair characteristics shine, this one in particular is a dream to retouch or run your fingers through at the end of the day. The pomade stays in, so not a lot is needed to add if you don't wash your hair every day and best of all the oils keep your hair nice and healthy. 10/10 would recommend especially if you live somewhere cold, where high hold pomades are hard to work in.

The smell is fantastic, definitely my favorite smell out of any pomade. I'm not sure how to explain the smell, but it gives me a nostalgic and warm feeling. With that being said, the smell is quite strong. Shine is great, too.Taking pomade from the container is incredibly easy that you might even grab a little more than you need. The pomade doesn't get as sticky on your hands as, say, Lockhart's Goon Grease. I suppose this is to be expected because this is a lighter hold.As other reviews have mentioned, my biggest problem with the product is the hold. I think it really depends on the length of your hair as well as your expectations. If you have medium-long hair, don't be surprised if your hair starts to fall off a bit after applying the product. At that length of hair, you should use Goon Grease (or Heavy Hold) instead. I think Lockhart's Light Hold would be a lot better for those with shorter hair who want that shine.

I have been using this for the past 4 years at least. Probably a dozen tins. Over the years I have tried many others but I always come back. Pleasant scent and great hold with fine hair.
