A chance meet at the dog park, the chemistry is still there so the two go out to dinner. Well, here’s strike two. London is Teddy’s boss’s little sister. The two try to stay away from each other because of “bro code” but fate is making it extremely difficult. These two are hot for each other and whew, I loved every moment of it.Having two people write a book can be tricky. But you can tell outside of work, Joe and Lauren are friends. Their styles complement each other. I found myself saying throughout the book “Oh, you can tell Joe wrote that.” and “That’s definitely coming from Lauren’s brilliant mind.” Mention of Joe’s love for rescue pit bulls and the Dodgers made me smile every time I read it. And the whole time, I absolutely heard the story in Joe’s voice.I can’t wait for the audiobook. It’s mostly all Joe but we get special appearances by three of my favourites, Emma Wilder, Maxine Mitchell and Erin Mallon. I’m pretty sure I know what they’ll be doing but won’t say because, spoilers. You need to read and listen to this one! You won’t be disappointed.

Teddy Lockhart aka known as DJ Insomnia spins tunes at a male revue and radio show as well as working on getting his new deejay business off the ground. Even though he is around an environment that oozes sex, his own experiences have not been that adventurous due to a long term relationship and then a bad breakup about a year ago that cost him more than just the girl. Now he would like to get lucky and maybe sow some wild oats he never had the chance to.London Hollis appears in his life unexpectedly. She is sassy, sarcastic, sweet, and they have a lot in common. They have witty and flirty banter about shared interests. They enjoy each other's company and share a hot kiss, until he finds out news that makes it a really bad idea and puts her in the off-limits category.Teddy thinks of himself as a good and honest guy. It is hard for him to resist London and he is still willing to help her when asked. And when she throws down a challenge, he is ready, willing, and able to show her that good guys do finish last (right after the woman). But can a good guy break all the rules and still be considered the good guy?This is a sweet, snappy, sexy rom-com with an adorable wanna-be couple and a bunch of fun side characters that just draw you in and make you smile(even their dogs are cute). It is about Teddy figuring out what he wants to really do with his life and what he needs to be happy. And it is also London's chance to prove herself as well. I loved their fun banter, hot chemistry, shared interests, and just how supportive and appreciative they could be of each other. There is a whole forbidden element, but overall it is a low angst and totally enjoyable story of two truly likable people unexpectedly finding some good luck in love.

This book gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded up to 4 stars.It features a likable couple, and they have some hot scenes. It did seem, especially at first, like they were too concerned about how their relationship would affect his work (she was his boss's sister), but they finally wised up enough to realize their relationship was worth the risk. They were good together after they got past that.I liked both Teddy and London a lot, but I thought they definitely shouldn't have tried to hide their relationship from her brother. I also liked that they were both so lighthearted and open to having "fun" together, and they were often really funny. I loved how they were both so close to their family/friends.My rating system is below.1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

4.5 starsHow to get lucky by Lauren Blakely &Joe Arden.Congratulations Lauren & Joe ,I read , I loved , I swooned.Teddy and London connect fiercely ,one look, one touch that’s all it takes but could there be complications?What a wonderful love story ,I started with huge smile ended the same such a terrific feel good book.A wonderful read about finding your person knowing she is it , the one you want, can it work? Teddy has all the love feels. And so much more...London has identical feelings for this guy she met...This story is served up with sexy banter which is always glorious to read ,added with such deliciousness in and out of the bed or the couch ….Now the audiobook I know with Lauren and Joe's words with Joe's narration I will wish it was me in the bed or the couch!.

I enjoyed this story about Teddy Lockhart and London Hollis. I enjoyed their journey to them finding their happy ever after. I loved Joe Arden's audio book.
