Orbit Front Trigger 10-Pattern Turret Wand with Ratcheting Had - 58674

These last a few years or summers with light use. Don't hurl it to the ground when you're done using it or it could break. The only reason my last one broke is because they landscapers abused it so the top cracked. I had another go bad because I left it outside when the temp dipped below zero and it the frozen water cracked it. It's not indestructible. so you use common sense and it will last a long time. There are many fun settings for the water when you rotate the turret. It's great for watering the garden, washing the car, or washing stuff outside in the driveway.

UPDATE 1/26/2015: Just some follow up comments to put ahead of my original review. I broke my original wand when I stepped on it (it was on the edge of a cinder block and the angle was just right for it to snap). First of all, that was a freak accident, this wand is actually pretty sturdy. Well, I ordered a new wand that day. Now, about two months after I began using the new wand, I noticed a small drip coming from the joint between the valve and the actually wand pipe. It gradually got worse. So, I called Orbit customer service and told them about this. They immediately sent me a new wand... no questions asked. I'm very pleased with them. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I just received this item today and I immediately tried it out. I love it. My first two watering wands broke because the spring in the trigger mechanism wore out. With this product, you do not have to deal with a trigger style handle. It's just a simple fire hose style valve. One nice thing I like is that I don't have to squeeze a trigger the whole time I'm watering in order to get a stream of water. All I need to do is open and close a valve. I think this feature would make this wand good for folks who can't grip for a long period of time. The head is adjustable. That's a big deal. I was looking at the more expensive Gardena wand, and its head did not adjust. I think that is what swayed me to this product (plus the Orbit wand was about 15 bucks cheaper). I really can't fuss with twisting and tilting a wand to accommodate the angle I need to water. I need an adjustable head to do that work for me. I will keep updating this review to let you know how durable this wand is. Longevity is, of course, supremely important. I'll keep you posted.

This wand has many nice things, such as 9 spray options, good reaching (36 inches), fireman grip lever for easy grip & flow control. It looks very durable and well made. No water leakage. Fully satisfied. Update. I left this for a few days this November when the night temperature went down to about 25~30°F. When I use it again for gardening when the temperature went up to around 45°F, water leakes a lot from both sides of handle. I will try if I can salvage it. I stored it in the shed last winter before freezing temp. and it worked well this summer. I guess one must store this hose above the freezing temp. Update 2. I replaced the o-rings on the handle (#83 o-ring). But the handle still leaked with new leak on green assembly parts. I wonder the seller sells the middle handle part. If not, I will buy another one. I still like this.

This long wand is great for watering flowers. I have alot of petunia plants that I try to water down at the roots instead of spraying over the tops and getting all the flowers wet. With this wand i can just stand there and direct the water at the base of the plants without bending down. Also great for washing the car not having to reach up over to get the roof. Seems well made, light enough to hold out with one hand. Best feature is the little dial to turn and control how much water comes out. For the plants I turn it down all the way, for washing the car i turn it up all the way for a stronger water stream. I keep it on shower and havent bothered to try the other settings.

This is fantastic. We are loving so far! Lots of settings and great water pressure. It reaches far out in our yard!

Durable, nice looking, easy to use.

I could not use this. The wand itself kept flying off of the handle, the joint couldnt handle the pressure of the water flow and I kept get drenched. Then there was leakage where the wand met the hose. I bought this to replace an Aldi hose head I accidentally dropped and broke, but despite being cheap, the head I bought from Aldi was far superior

Just got mine and spent an hour watering everything in our yards that were just about cooked from our recent heat wave. I tried every setting and am pleased at how it performed. No leaks or broken bits!
