Herbes de Provence - 3.6 oz Jar - Flavorful French Seasoning - Victoria Gourmet by Victoria Taylor

Herbes de Provence is a generic terms for seasoning that is a mixture of various spices, and this mixture varies greatly from supplier to supplier. This one is the best and I have been using it for years. The difference is the lavender buds in it. True Provence seasoning uses lavender, and you will notice the difference. This works well in soups, stews, or in a mixture of sauteed vegetables. Go well with chicken, pork, and other "light" meats. My favorite is a mixture of slivered peppers, onion, and celery sauteed with this spice and a bit of wine, served with bratwurst.

This order arrived today. First off, it's one jar, not 2 as shown in the photo. My bad for not reading closely enough but I assumed it was 2 as shown in the picture since this size product is available on the company's website for $11. Further, I reached into the padded envelope to get the item out and felt a finger stick. My finger was bleeding. I thought I'd been poked by a wire or something else in the package. The glass jar is shattered and I was cut with a piece of it. Although an attempt was made a cushioning the package for shipping, it was not enough. I now have an overpriced and misrepresented jar of spices that I cannot use because it contains ground glass. I ordered two jars and the other is being delivered tomorrow. I don't hold out much hope. This is a great product. NOT a great seller.

Why did I only have one glass jar of the product, when the picture shows TWO of them? 1 glass +1 tin.

I have ordered this several times. I love the balance of herbs and the aroma. Just wonderful and delicious.

I love this product but it arrived in a badly broken glass jar, thus was unusable and there appears to be no way to get a refund.

Fantastic stuff! Don’t let your kitchen be without a jar!

The dried garlic in this makes it so much more flavorful and useful in the kitchen than other Herbes de Provence and might have the slightest bit less lavender which I prefer to! Scrumptous. Just a perfect blend.
