hilmor 1891186 SMTBC3 3 Blade Crimper

I work in sheet metal local 7 and do duct all day every day. I've tried several other crimpers, which were okay on light guage, but this one can crimp some pretty heavy guages. They work good on light guage too. No issues crimping 18 guage. I've used them heavily for over 3 years, and would buy them over and over again.

I have been a HVAC installer for over 20 years and this pair of crimpers is by far the best I have ever owned . Don't let the 3 blade style detour you . This 3 blade works way better than any 5 blade I have ever had . The offset is deep , so it works . The steel is of much better quality than any others on the market . I suffered to much for to many years , you buy these and you will not suffer from a marginal tool .

I don't normally review tools, but in this case I needed to say why I'll be returning this item. Attached with this review are pictures of the tool delivered as well as the falsely advertised tool. This tool in past reviews may have been as pictured, but as you can see right off this is not the same tool. The overall structure of the attachment joints are completely different (less leverage multiplication capabilities for thicker material) as well as material blade thickness. When using this tool with vent ducting around a rolled edge pinch seam the tool will actually deform in the pinch surface rendering this tool useless after a short time in service.I'll be returning this tool for full refund as this is a clear case of deceptive advertising.

These crimpers look nothing like the picture. Picture has snub nosed crimper while I received longer nosed crimper.Mostly resemble Malco's crimper but with better metal alloys.

Delivered as expected, only used twice- but seem to work good.

I've only used these once, but they work great! They seem to be well built and are comfortable to use. Definitely recommend the 3 vs 5 blade, much easier to work with.

Great quality tool

I’m a sheet metal installer I’ve had these crimpers over 3 years no issues , same construction as the Lenox . The crimp action is smooth even over seams .
