I’ve been using DeWalt 20 volt products and batteries for a long time now, and Ive never had a premature failure. My 2 oldest batteries were used in my lawn equipment and lasted about 8 years before they gave it up. That’s pretty comes out to less than $10 per year. That’s pretty good! I hope these new ones will hold up just as well…if not, I’ll update this review.

These are excellent batteries for extended use. If I run my DeWalt XR weed trimmer on high speed, I get roughly 25 to 30 minutes on a full charge with these 20 V max batteries. Please note that these are not the XR batteries, even though a few XR units are shown in the product description photos. The XR surpasses the max, however, these max batteries are fantastic and this is a great deal for two additional batteries, a charger, and a carrying bag.

I have had this product for a number of years now. No Complaints, works as intended 😉. Always been a Dewalt Fan and have used both big red and big yellow for years. Taken care of, will last most of your life. In the construction industry it will give you many years of use.

The 20V Max batteries I got are good, but make no mistake they show XR batteries in the pictures. I am not sure if DeWalt doesn't sell XR anymore or what, but XR are Extender Range batteries lasting 50% longer than standard 20V Max. Note that only the pictures say XR, they are careful not to write it anywhere. The batteries themselves work great and if my dudes would quit dropping them, I would not have to keep buying them. :)
