I love this more than the original, it healed some trauma. Great addition of the exercise in the back. Finally, Food art is magic! A must read.

I bought this book to go with a unit that I was teaching my second graders this previous school year. It's an engaging story. It is a great book for teaching skills like character point of view, idioms, and story comparisons. As for the story, my students really enjoyed the story. That is saying something considering how it was always a challenge to keep them focused on a single story during read alouds. With this one, they hated when we would have to stop reading it due to time, and they couldn't wait to continue it the following day.

A revision of the original story so as too let the kids see what comparison looks like. Simple splendid, well done.

I wanted my 8 daughter to read the stories I grew up with. She enjoyed the story especially the "good witch". It was a quick fun read for her.

I used this for a comprehension lesson about character point of view. The kids enjoyed it. The story was a little rushed, and I was hoping it would be as good as some of the other alternate perspective books I’ve read. Not the best of those kinds of stories, but was a great precursor to making gingerbread houses for our Christmas party

Nice version of an old tale.

I absolutely love this book. My son also enjoys reading it. It is a lot of fun to read the other side of the story. I recommend this book to everyone with or without kids who love fairy tales!

Great story!! Read it with my class and the absolutely loved it! Giggles and gasps all around! Would've given it 5 stars, but I wasn't impressed with the paper quality. The pages were very thin and it has a strange texture.
