Striking matches is fun, but these things are cool!
I bought fancy, scented candles for my inlaws for Christmas, and slipped one of these electric lighters into each gift bag as a fun, cheap way maintain the theme and encourage them to actually burn the candles. Bought one for us, too! Works great, stays charged a good while. Very convenient for candle wicks, and works well on our incense sticks, too! Sturdy aluminum shell (case), buttons easy to slide and operate. Charging cord is VERY short (maybe 4 inches) and does not come with charging block, but no big deal (we have many!). You'll have to find a plug near something that you can prop the lighter up on.

Pleasant Slim Design.
I've had a similar product before that was chunkier than this one, and it also had a separate cap. This is half the width of my previous one and feels very comfortable in your hand. I see no problem with it not having a cap since these arc lighters only perform while you are pressing a button, which is hidden under a slide switch when not in use. It came fully charged and works perfectly.

Good customer service
Below is my original review. The company reached out to me without me asking them and they sent me a new lighter well after my return date at no charge without having to return my old one. The new lighter does charge with the cord they provided and a power bank. Since I'm able to charge this one, and they still both work great, I've amended my star rating.Works great until it doesn't. I've had this for several months, and the battery shows that it's getting low, so I've tried to charge it several times, but it won't charge, so I guess I'm SOL when it dies since it's too late to return it?

Replaced - Stopped charging after a few weeks.
Updated Review: Company reached out with a few suggestions to repair the lighter but no luck. They sent me a replacement without needing to re-order. Happy with the customer service. Fingers crossed that this one will last as expected.Worked well at first. Arrived almost fully charged and we used it to light candles. Charged it twice with no issues but it has stopped charging. Tried 3 different wall chargers/cables combinations. Nothing. Wanted to replace the flame lighters that have to be replaced with something that could be recharged but we’ll have to keep looking.

So easy to. use and light.
I've been in search of a flameless lighter that was easy to use and I seem to have found. This lighter is sleek, lightweight, turns on easily and lights candles quickly. As a bonus, it doesn't hurt my hands. Haven't had it long enough to comment on recharging time or holding a charge.

Best lighter ever
Bring a mom of young kids and worrying about them hurting themself? This is the best invention for any family with little ones and for a family on the go. We have used this in the home, outside in the yard, in the park and even on vacation. It's so small and easy to carry along. I have tried others but this one by far is the best. It's easy to use even for kids once taught how to and much safer than a real lighter or even matches that don't always work.

The lighter you didn’t know you needed
I bought this to light my candles over a year ago. But didn’t realize how many times I’d use it or I’d be using it for birthday candles too. Keeps a charge for a long time. Charges fast and easy. Fits nicely in hand and easy to use. Very affordable.

Battery life is just OK.
Personally, I use this to light candles in my room (probably like most other people that buy this) and it works just fine for that. The only annoyance in that aspect is as expected; you’ll need to get right up the to the wick in order for it to light. While this isn’t a big deal, it often messes up or breaks bits off the wick which potentially shortens the life of your candle. Luckily though, most of the candles I use have wide, wooden wicks so this isn’t as much of an issue for me as it may be with others. One issue that I have found though is the battery life. I often need to relight my candles because I blow them out probably more often than I need to, which is why I switched to an electric lighter in the first place. And although they specifically state the number of uses you’ll most likely get out of it before needing to recharge in the little instruction pamphlet they provide, I can’t help but be kind of disappointed by the 80 or so uses that I get out of it before it’s just about flat. Along with this, I’ve noticed that this lighter is quite audibly louder compared to some of the other electric lighters that I’d tried before this one, making a high-pitched crackling noise sometimes.Other than those two small problems though, it’s generally pretty good. It’s definitely not mind-blowing (I mean, it’s an electric lighter not a tesla coil) and feels relatively cheap but it isn’t tacky-feeling, it gets the job done, and it keeps your fingers from being burned.
