Magpul Daka Essential Tactical Slim Minimalist Credit Card Holder Travel Wallet EDC Gear

I got the black version and it is great. It came quick enough, is very slim, and holds a good amount of stuff. I'm pleased with the price considering it cost me about $14. It's by no means some luxurious material but I think the vinyl and plasticy feel is fine. I'm writing this after a couple months of somewhat light use and it's held up well with no signs of being worn. The side with one slot comfortably fits 7 bills folded in thirds. It starts to bulge more noticeably with more bills, but it can hold a lot. I don't have enough stuff to truly fit the wallet's other side, but you can fit several cards within the two slots on the other side. Overall, it's a great for the money, minimal, fine looking, and useful wallet.

I couldn't possibly count how many minimalist wallets I have tried. I probably have at least ten of them, including the Ridge Wallet, the Buffway Slim wallet, Nomatic wallet, Slimfold paper and fabric wallets, and just a few days ago the Threads wallet. I carry minimal cash (a couple of bills for cash tips) and use my phone for most payments, so I only need space for a couple of credit cards, a debit card, my insurance card, a driver's license and a couple of bills. The Threads wallet almost nailed it, but there's relatively thick leather at the top on both leather pockets that, once filled, makes the wallet a bit of a triangle in terms of thickness so it didn't quite disappear into my pocket as well as I'd hoped. Also, other than the stretch pocket, the other two pockets would only hold one card each and it was very difficult to get the single card in and out (was actually afraid to break them). This Magpul Essentials wallet held everything I needed, was much thinner than the Threads wallet, and it was slightly easier to get cards in and out. The Magpul wallet doesn't look high end, but the material seems very durable and the wallet disappears in my pocket, so that one is the winner and the Threads wallet will remain a backup.

Love the feel and orientation I just wish somehow they figured out how to fix the material fraying at the ends. So far it’s just cosmetic and annoying so not a big deal yet. Don’t expect a lot of space in this wallet either, that’s not what it’s for. I pop my license, cc permit, 2 credit cards and my ins card in and that’s about it may have room for one more card but that’s all I wanted. Perfect minimalist design.

After carrying this slim wallet from Magpul, I can never use another bulky wallet. Only using the bare essentials which is about three cards and an ID. This makes carrying a wallet much better and doesn’t give you the uncomfortableness of a bulky wallet in the rear when you sit down. This wallet seems to disappear in your back pocket, you won’t even notice it if you carry it in the front pocket of your pants. With 4 pockets for cards and some cash. It is a great wallet made of durable reinforced polymer material that is durable and looks amazing.

This is definitely one of the slimmest (by material and designs) wallets out there. The material of the wallet feels very strong (in a good way). I've used a minimalist/slim wallet for the last decade or so and while I was hoping this would be the one for me, that's unfortunately not the case.The downside of this wallet is also one of the best parts about it. In the product photos you will notice there is a recessed pocket that the cards on the upper level sit in to. This is great because it doesn't cause your cards to bulge or the wallet to warp as you place all your cards.That said, the issue with this recessed "tray" that the cards go in to makes it really difficult to get them out. You'll notice the rounded border/edge of the wallet. That perfectly hugs the rounded corners of the credit card/ID you have in there. Looks awesome, but makes access to cumbersome. Assuming you are like me and keep your fingernails relatively well maintained (read: cut short) then it takes too much effort and intention to wedge a finger between the border trim and your card.Long story short. This wallet holds cards beautifully, meaning literally beautifully. No warping to the wallet or puckering as it common with many wallets this size when you actually fill them with cards. But it was just too annoying to try and dig out a card from the recessed tray they slide in to. Bummed for sure as I was really hoping this would be the one.

I have had this wallet for close to four years now. It still looks like it did when I bought it. It works perfectly and is easy to get cards in and out of. I carry between seven and ten cards with no issues. Most importantly, it is light and very slim. I have received other good minimalist wallets as gifts, and I always come back to this one. I highly recommend it.

Great wallet. I have went through my fair share of wallets. I was on the look out for a super slim, durable wallet that would last a long time and hold up to 5 cards. I have this wallet a try, and for the price? You simply cannot beat it! First off Magpull has already made quite the name for themselves. They did it again. This thing is slim, holds 6 cards but holds them tight. Sometimes hard to pull out a card. But that is not a con for me. It is definitely water proof. So if you have only the essentials cards and no paper you will be good for a day at the beach! I highly recommend.

Update: perfect wallet for a few weeks, but the welds on the side gave out less than a month in. I had slightly less than the advertised maximum card capacity in the wallet at most times, but never exceeded the capacity.I was a little worried this would be too small, as I tend to carry a lot of cards. It's perfectly holding 7 cards and a small amount of cash, and it's still incredibly light weight and thin. For the first few days of carrying this wallet, I kept thinking I'd *forgotten* my wallet. That's how small and slim this wallet is. Durability is to-be-determined, but so far so good nearly a month in.
