Amazon Basics microSDXC Memory Card with Full Size Adapter, A2, U3, Read Speed up to 100 MB/s, 512GB, Black

I have the other Amazon basics card with the gold across the top which can max out at 200MB/s. Unfortunately the price on those suddenly jumped up so I looked toward this one for a 512GB card. I purchased the Amazon usb C 3.0 micro SD card reader so that I can access the highest speeds from uhs-1 cards (without this or another manufacturers version you cannot achieve high speeds or the max stated). Using the SD reader with maximum uhs-1 speeds active this burned 380GB at a consistent 115MB/s for the entire write. This far exceeds the stated speeds. I'd found information prior to buying that this may be the case so took a gamble as I have large amounts of data to move around so need a fast card. For the price this card is outstanding. I haven't tested the read speed yet, but as it could write at 115MB/s I'm guessing it'll achieve around 160MB/s read speeds. Many SD cards have the option to access much faster speeds than most PCs, phones and old readers can utilise. It is well worth spending the £7 - £15 for a high speed usb 3 SD card reader for read and write speeds at double (sometimes triple) the speed that most hardware can otherwise utilise. I'm now using this in my GameCube as a retro game storage device to run my backed up collection on a picoboot modified GameCube and it works perfectly. TLDR: Needs a usb 3 uhs-1 high speed reader to access much faster read and write. Outperforms the stated speeds considerably

Purchased this memory card for a 360 camera. So far it has never failed me however I get a warning message to advise that the memory card has failed thecamera test, however the video does record to the 512mb card

Got this as an upgrade to the 32GB TF card that comes with a Raspberry Pi. I wanted to have more storage 'built in' rather than use separate USB sticks or external drives. I did a lot of reading about the labelling of SD cards, and decided that this one (rated V30, U3, A2, UHS-I) ticked enough performance boxes at a very reasonable price. Easy to use the Pi Clone tool to copy the supplied TF card to the larger one (took about 5mins). Works like a charm. The Pi shows its got the capacity it claims to have, and no complaints about the I/O performance for what I'm using it for (learning my way round the Pi, basic office tools like docs and spreadsheets, MP3's, images and photos, etc). An external SSD would probably perform better and give you more storage capacity, but this 512GB TF card works for me.

Genuine memory, ran through multiple checks to verify and worked as expected

I guess it goes without saying that this memory card has loads of uses across hundreds of different devices but I bought it for exclusive use with my Nintendo Switch OLED. I was torn between this less expensive card and some others of the same size but were higher rated in terms of read/write speeds and as you might expect more expensive. I, luckily, found a YouTube video that explained the Switch OLED can only read at certain speeds that this card can deal with so I saved myself a few pounds and bought it. Installing and formatting was a breeze but I guess that says more about the Switch than the card but it has been in use for a little while now and has worked flawlessly.

Reviewing model: Standard speed - 512GB at price £49.99 First impressions seem good, the housing feels a bit more rough than a SanDisk or a Kingston SD card but its performance that matters and that's where it surprised me, it more than surpassed the rated speeds as seen in the CrystalDiskMark benchmarks and it's able to consistently hold a higher than rated speed as seen in the H2TestW test. It remains to be seen how long this SD card lasts but given the price, I don't mind it too much as its more aligned with pricing that we saw before the NAND shortage really took hold. My only real issue is the warranty of the card, it appears to only be 1 year which is very short for an SD card but we'll see if it lasts and I will update this review with a long term review if something happens.

Been using it for 2 months now, have not faced any issue, looks good, nice quality, have not faced any data loss, supports most android phones that can support high memory.

Estaba buscando una tarjeta SD para mi Nintendo Switch y no quería gastar demasiado, pero tampoco comprar algo de mala calidad. Encontré esta opción en Amazon y, por el precio y los 512 GB, me pareció una buena elección. La compré y hasta ahora va muy bien. No me ha dado ningún fallo, funciona correctamente y llegó bien protegida. La capacidad es más que suficiente para tener bastantes juegos instalados sin preocuparse demasiado por el espacio, así que en ese sentido cumple perfectamente.En general, estoy contento con la compra y la recomendaría si buscas algo económico pero fiable para la Switch.

Ich bin sehr angenehm überrascht von der Karte. Zunächst: Die Karte hat 512 GB. Ich lese hier in manchen Rezensionen, dass sie nur 476 GB hat. Das stimmt aber nicht, sondern das ist ein Darstellungsfehler in Windows. Sie hat 476 GiB. Das wäre richtig. Windows lässt das "i" aber weg und schreibt 476 GB, was falsch ist (und auch in Windows schon immer falsch dargestellt wurde). Wer sich über die Unterschiede und die Historie informieren möchte, empfehle ich einen Blick in den Wikipedia-Artikel "Binärpräfix". Nun zum Speicher an sich: Nachdem Speicher meiner Meinung nach aktuell überteuert, habe ich nach Alternativen zu meinem "Haus- und Hoflieferant" (bisher immer SanDisk) geschaut und bin hier fündig geworden. Die Karte von Amazon Basics (ich habe "nur" die "Normal Speed") genommen, muss sich überhaupt nicht hinter einer SanDisk Extreme Pro verstecken. Siehe Screenshot. Und ich habe die Einstellungen in CrystalDiskMark 9.0.2 angepasst, so dass die Testzeit 30 Sekunden (statt der üblichen 1 Sekunde) beträgt, um thermische Effekte (thermal Throttling) mit einzubeziehen. Aber auch da gibt es mit der Karte von Amazon Basics keinerlei Probleme. Daher: 100% Empfehlung! Meines Erachtens aktuell bestes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis am Markt.

Picked this up to expand storage and it's been rock solid. Fast read/write speeds, recognized instantly by every device I've tried it in, and the price point is hard to beat for 512GB. Amazon Basics doesn't mess around with their storage products — this is the same quality you'd expect from a name brand at a fraction of the cost. Would buy again without hesitation.
