Great rechargeable tent lantern.
I have a SUV Hatchback Tent and this is a must, along with my 120 watt foldable Solar Panel and Bluetti AC3A light weight power pack with phone controller app.

Very capable lantern diminished by button choice
The lantern was a little smaller than I expected, but that wasn't a big deal to me. It's actually a good size for a camping lantern. It has a reasonable weight. The lights work as expected. They seem bright enough. The various beam/lantern/strobe/warning modes are nice.My only complaint with this product is the design decision to make all the modes and the power controlled by one button. To me it is a major flaw. I feel like it's going to annoy me every time I use this lantern. It would have made much more sense to have a control, maybe a rotating or sliding switch, that controls the mode, and a separate button for the power. As it is, you have to cycle through all the modes just to turn the thing off. And if you get in a hurry and miss the "off" mode, you have to do it all over again. This means there is a lot of clicking every time you just want to turn the thing off. Also that's a lot of wear on the click button. Plus this makes the lantern lights go through all the modes just to turn it off, which could be annoying or distracting by itself. I hope the manufacturer will strongly consider separating those functions in the future. The current setup seems sloppy.

too bright
These were purchased for when we get power outages. We wanted the red light which has a long battery life and doesn't destroy your night vision. When we loose power, we prepare the house and enjoy spending time together in the dimly lit environment (usually red light) until the power comes back on.The unit is very small, so look at the dimensions to get a better idea of what your buying. This might be an advantage for you for a backpack. For us, it is OK because we can fit more in the power outage drawer. It also can be recharged easily and indicates when it is fully charged. The lights are bright and a little blinding to use. Even the low setting is still pretty bright. I'd guess low setting maybe 75% of full brightness. The brightness means you can't have it on the table because you can't see anything else. Kind of like looking into the sun. It almost needs to be above or behind you to work well.I don't like the red flashing option. Not a very useful feature as red is not seen well from far away. And when it is flashing you blinded by that light. The solid red is also really really bright. I was hoping for a much lower intensity to help keep the night vision when looking away from the light. We are not sure it will work for our purposes.I also don't like the single button to toggle through all the light options. First turning on the flashlight, then white surround, and then red lights. Even turning it off is a little bit of a pain. Maybe it is good if you want to turn it on and leave it on for a long period of time at that setting. You can image watching star outside and needing some light to find something you dropped. Having to switch between all 6 options to get the light you need and shut it off, that process will blind everyone else around you.

Atypical Use: Light Up Shaving In Shower! : )
This may or may not say my purchase is verified, since I used my mom's account this time. We switch back and forth, as we are under the same roof, and use the same payment. Anyway -- trying to think of how to describe the torture this light, along with a mirror, has SAVED me from since I got it -- without going into more detail than anyone wants to know! lol! You might have already come to the conclusion that there is inadequate lighting in my shower stall. Please forgive the soap residue on the teakwood bench, while we're engaged in shower talk (oops). I Used the mirror shown, along with the electric razor on my bakini area. The general process used to be easy to do, without all the accessories when I was 120lbs, but not now at my temorary 250-260lbs! Heavier women wanting to do a thorough job "down there" know the strain and sometimes impossibility of seeing past one's stomach! Ack! I must put a disclaimer in here that I didn't have the water running. However, it's a wet/dry razor, so I wanted to have that option, and the lantern is shown withstanding a downpour, if I remember correctly. I got very good results clipping it to the top of my sports bra and leaning over. If my mirror/eyesight were bigger/better, it may have been PERFECT! Next time, I will find a belt or something to tie around my waist to clip it to. Expecting an IDEAL experience!!! This light meets my brighness expectations, and I only buy the brightest lights! Also, it seemed to be the best bang for the buck! Hope this review helps someone! Have a great day!!! SUPER pleased with this purchase!
