It was refreshing and interesting, will read it again ♡
I loved this book! I'm 33 and can definitely relate to Percy's love as I also fell in love when I was 14. It was interesting to read her young and inexperience mentality to the mentality and maturity of a 33 year old woman. Now, I did giggle and kicked my feet several times reading this book. It was refreshing and interesting. Loved that the scenes were not predictable. I will reread it again just to see if I missed any little details.P.S I was also fortunate to marry the man I fell in love when I was 14. It's such an interesting and enchanting experience, specially if he is a gentelman and turns into an amazing man.

A Summer you won't forget!
4.5⭐️There are some books that you know you'll love from the first few pages. Every Summer After was one of them for me. Even after I turned the last page, this novel left me with so many emotions. I experienced every second of this novel as though I were with Sam, Percy, and Charlie in Barry's Bay. It made me wish that I were there. I had a strong connection to each character, particularly Percy and Sam. I read late into the night, unaware of how much time had passed. I was eager to see how Percy and Sam's story would end; I was rooting for them throughout. However, a small part of me didn't want to turn the last page because I didn't want to say goodbye to these amazing characters. One of my favorite aspects of books is the different timelines. It helps you realize how a single choice might impact your future. Carly's setup of the Every Summer After timelines is fantastic. I felt as though I had known Percy and Sam while growing up. The bond between Sam and Percy was my favorite; I adored how they began as friends and gradually evolved into something more. I thought their bond was real. I was hoping that Sam and Percy would eventually reconcile. When the two of them reunited, it was clear that those feelings from years earlier were still there. This book broke my heart many times, only to put it back together later. I still can’t get the story and the character out of my mind. My only regret is that I didn’t read this book sooner.I love the setting of the book. Barry’s Bay sounded magical. I love anything to do with nature, especially during spring and summer. When I lived in Arizona, we would travel to the Lake on hot days, and I loved everything about it. I could smell and feel the lake as I read Every Summer After. Every Summer After is Carley Fortune's second book that I have read. I read This Summer Will Be Different for my book club last year. However, at least now, Every Summer After is my favorite. I can’t wait to return to Barry’s Bay in One Golden Summer on May 6! I would highly recommend checking this book out.

A Bittersweet Love Story That Lingers Long After the Last Page
Every Summer After surprised me in the best way. It’s equal parts nostalgic, romantic, and emotionally rich—like slipping into the warmth of a memory you didn’t know you missed. Carley Fortune captures the ache of young love, second chances, and the weight of what’s left unsaid with such relatable honesty. The dual timeline—bouncing between summers past and a present-day reunion—was beautifully done. You feel the tension build with every chapter, and I found myself rooting for Percy and Sam even when their choices made my heart ache.If you love stories with lake house settings, emotional depth, and characters you’ll want to scream at and hug in equal measure, this one’s for you. It’s a perfect summer read that also hits deep in the feels

Lovely, lighthearted and easy.
Such a lighthearted easy read. I don’t always want to read a mystery or something deeply ínstense. A beautiful love story with the right amount of depth. I am not a reader but I flew through this quicker than anything else because I enjoyed it so much. Thank you to the author for getting me back into reading like others did for you! Xx

What a great nostalgic summer read!
I was a little skeptical going into this! But as the story went on, the nostalgic vibes and a beautiful story of youth, love, grief and betrayal unraveled and I became completely invested. What a great summer read!

Nostalgic return to Barry’s Bay
One word - Nostalgia. Carley Fortune did a great job bringing those feelings of nostalgia flooding back when Percy returns to Barry's Bay a decade after leaving. There are times in our lives when our memories lie to us, and seeing Percy and Sam unravel their memories over childhood drama was interesting. Love can be messy, and this story brings that to the present. Percy has allowed her memories of her greatest mistake change how she approaches life and current relationships. You will like seeing how this story plays out over time. Wonderful read.

MUST READ.
The book that started my Carley love affair. If you haven't read this yet - you MUST! And the sequel?!?? So good.

Light, Summery, but Quick to Fizzle Out
A quick, easy read with strong summer nostalgia and a second-chance romance at its core. I appreciated the setting and the emotional pull in the beginning, but the story lost a bit of steam toward the end. The characters are almost too perfect, and some physical descriptions, like Sam’s lopsided grin, start to feel like drinking from a bottomless cup.Romance isn’t usually my genre (though I keep getting lured back by Goodreads badges) and while this wasn’t a standout for me, it was perfectly fine for a sunny afternoon daydreaming of lakeside summers.
