The perfect hiking companion
I basically love to cook outdoors, so like many of us I buy a lot of gear! I’ve had multiple burners over the years, all boasting something over others! Since buying the Blade 2 I haven’t bought another burner (I’m shocked at myself) but I just don’t need to now! It’s lightweight, for an off can burner it’s still compact enough to fit inside a small kettle, it spreads heat across my pans perfectly including a solid cast iron skillet. It’s super stable and designed as such it has no trouble bedding into uneven ground! It’s very competent when controlling heat! Ok some burners are smaller, but you just don’t get that level of stability for cooking in a pan as well as not having that fear of it tipping boiling water!I could actually write more, but I feel that’s enough in itself to warrant making a purchase! Don’t sleep on Firemaple! They’re a solid brand that cares about where and how people use their gear! I’ve got a shed full of kit! But this won’t ever live in it! It’s with me on every trip outdoors!

Lightweight, gets the job done.
I was a bit dubious as to how well this would work in terms of putting larger pots etc. on this burner. It in fact works well, sturdy yet compact and weighs very little and takes very little space in thebackpack. Can produce way more heat than one would ordinarily need.

142g; stable, safe.
The majority of the burner is Titanium, with the exception of the base square base, the preheater tube and the hose & fitting, giving the incredibly lightweight of 142g.In use, the remote gas fitting is handy as the regulator is remote as well, so easy to adjust without putting fingers near flames. It doesn't have a built in pizo lighter, which others do (with a weight penalty) so you will need a lighter.Although it is heavier than the models mounted on the gas can itself, it is also much more stable and safe to use.In use it is much more affected by wind than more enclosed burners, such as the Firemaple Star X3 and X1 I've also been sent to review. This results in longer heat times, and higher fuel consumption, meaning you have to carry more. However, it can be placed closer to the ground in a more sheltered spot, or you can use a windbreak. It's also likely somewhat lighter all up (depending on what pans one uses).I can't comment on durability as I haven't used this extensively. However I have minor concerns about what would happen to the support legs should the rivets come loose, as this would potentially allow the small nubbin that prevents further leg extension from catching, and the thing would fall over. As I say, it's a theoretical risk that would be obvious before it happened, but I wonder if more substantial nubbin (such as those used on the arms) would have been better. The pot arms fold flat and you can put more or less any size of pan on it; the diameter directly supported by the arms is 15cm, so you could put a frying pan on this no problems. It comes in a black drawstring netting bag, which I suppose stops it getting tangled with other things.

Great as long as you're careful
This is amazingly lightweight and small but to do that the metal is a bit thin and prone to bending. In normal use it's not an issue but it's not that sturdy if that's what you're looking for.I've tested this with a medium to large size pot and was fairly happy it was stable on a flat surface. It heated the food very quickly.I would note that the hose is quite short so that could cause issues with larger cylinders but I would say its length is adequate. The control is also on the plug so you can shut it off without getting too close to the heat.

very good workmanship
I have to say, I like it very much. Some surprises. This small stove is more like a work of art. It is exquisite and has very good workmanship. Speaking of it, it is packed in a small box and does not take up any space. When opened, the support is very stable and the firepower is It's very big and fierce, and it feels more powerful than the gas stove without a gas cooker at home, and it's a bit scary. When actually cooking, it is best to stand the gas bottle, if it is placed sideways, the firepower will be too great!

A compact sturdy stove , good for wild camping 🏕
I tried this stove on a wild camp last night and cooked a substantial meal using it, it worked really well , the titanium stand is solid and sturdy , the titanium pot stands are really stable and hold the pan or kettle really sturdy. The cable that attaches to the gas canister is designed to be able to use the gas canister upside down so it has less spluttering and an overall better performance in colder conditions, as gas stoves can struggle in cold temperatures. There is no piezoelectric ignition on this stove though which is a shame because I'm used to having one built into my other stoves.I like that the burner ring is quite big on this stove too for good heat distribution, sometimes with a smaller burner ring it can cause hot spots on the pan causing food to stick or burn, this one is less likely to because the burner ring is a good size. The stove weighs around 135 grams , I weighed it in its mesh carry bag and it weighed 152g, so it's lightweight but not ultralight but the cable adds to the weight too and you are getting the benefit of a built in stand too.For the price of £55 I think it's OK, but it's a Shame there is no piezo ignition buit into it , it packs away really small and compact and you can lower the flame down really low for simmering food which is good.I cooked a nice meal of lamb chops with onion and mushroom gravy on this stove and it turned out delicious, it's not the most powerful stove out there for the price though and I'm not sure how well it will perform in windy conditions without a windshield.I'm happy with the performance so far though, a good sturdy stove.

Fantastico

Speriamo funzioni bene come l'altro...
