Great iPad accessory. Well made and fits to perfection.
I think I’ve purchased at least 4 of these iPad covers. I have a special needs son who is quite rough on his iPad. They provide good coverage and are sturdy. It takes him about a year to wear one out. I like the variety of designs, which I let him choose. Perfect for our needs.

Much better than expected, still going after 1 year.
I bought this case as a temporary case because it was inexpensive and I figured it would be good enough until I found a "real" case. I was used to a $50 price point with Switcheasy and other higher priced cases. A year has gone by and I still have my temporary case, just got on Amazon to finally look for a fancy case to replace it with and realized that there's just no reason to replace it. It gets used every single day and is still in pretty good shape. It's protected my iPad from a couple drops, the material is still intact at the wear points, there is no separation of glued parts, magnetic closure/power off works fine, it's really a nice case disguised as an inexpensive case. I bought the basic black case, no smells or issues. Tight fit, holes are exact, even the little holes for the microphones by the camera lens are perfectly centered. Sad to see some others have had problems. Beware that this style of case with form-fitting rigid plastic shell to hold ipad can only offer minimal protection in a drop, especially on the corner. If you want ultimate protection you'll need to buy something bulkier with padding. I'm not ready to carry around a big, blocky, rubber case yet. This one is fine.

good enough
I'm pretty rough with my iPad, but this case has been holding up pretty well. Design looks exactly as expected; nice and vibrant colors. My main problem with this case, however, is that the cover is too stiff. I've had other similar cases to this one and generally sleep mode for all of them work well and snap into place. For some reason though, this case doesn't really snap. The last part of the panel tends to stick up so my iPad actually stays on and I have to press down the last bit to get it to fully close. Additionally, for whatever reason, the stand seems to me to be at a slightly sharp angle. Most cases I've used before have the iPad slightly more reclined. These drawbacks are annoying but not deal breakers. I think at this price point it's fine. TLDR: it's cute; does itd job; only slight annoyances

A great case that doesn't smell
I recently purchased an iPad Air 2 and I was looking for a case to protect my investment. I'm generally not a fan of having bulky devices so not only was I looking for protection, but something that was thin, light, and protected both the back and the front of the tablet. Initially I was looking at the official Apple iPad Air 2 Smart Case, but the price point was a little bit higher than what I wanted to pay. After looking at a bunch of reviews on Amazon, I settled on the Fintie SmartShell Case, since the vast majority of the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. I'm happy to report that the general consensus was absolutely correct! When I opened the packaging, a case that looked extremely similar to the official Apple Smart Case popped out. It was sleek, thin, and unlike some other cases, it didn't have an unpleasant odor. My iPad fit into the case cleanly and easily. Since it is a "SmartShell" case, it means that when you close the cover, the screen of your iPad will turn off. The cover will also make a pleasant "snap" sound when it shuts. Another plus is that the cover can be turned into a triangle by flipping it over and using it as a stand. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this purchase. It's thin, lightweight, has a smart cover, and a built-in kickstand. I won't hesitate to purchase from this brand in the future and I would strongly recommend this SmartShell Case to anyone that needs protection for their device. AND IT DOESNT SMELL

Better than my original Apple cover....
...and at a fraction of the price! Not only does this cover provide more protection than the magnetic Apple cover (which only covers the front, leaving the back completely exposed, it is also roughly one-third the price, comes in a nice variety of colors and patterns (I chose the tree), works perfectly (folded into a stand as well as closed - no issues with the magnetic closure), was easy to install (just pop the iPad in and gently snap into place), and while I haven’t had it long, it seems as though it will be durable. I decided to see what was available on Amazon after my original Apple cover tore where the magnetic strip attaches to the cover with a thin, rubbery strip, after just four years of very careful use (no rough handling, no kids allowed to touch my pad, etc.). I couldn’t see spending nearly $30 again for something that was going to fall apart after so short a time. I have ordered Fintie cases for my Amazon echo (one in the same design as the iPad cover) and was pleased with them, so felt hopeful that I would be equally happy with this item - and I was not disappointed. To be honest, even though I read through reviews and looked at reviewer photos prior to ordering, I thought this was the same as the Apple cover - magnetic strip attached to a front cover with no back. For some reason, I thought some of the designs had backs while others did not. At first, I didn’t know whether I was happy about the case (back part) that the iPad fits into, but it didn’t take long for me to swing totally in favor of it. My iPad is better protected, the case appears to be well made with all of the openings for ports, volume, etc., being perfectly aligned, so far there are no issues with overheating, and as an added aesthetic bonus, the gorgeous design is on the back cover as well as the front.

This is a bargain, and I expect it to be more durable than the very similar Case Crown Omni
I’m comparing this to the only other case I’ve purchased for the iPad Air 2 (Case Crown Omni), but I’ve purchased 4 of them over the past 5 years; the Case Crown Omni which I've been very happy with. (They look very similar, which is what caught my eye at first.) I didn’t mind that I had to purchase a new Case Crown every year or so (because of breakage). Small price to pay for one of such quality. It did a good job protecting iPad from monthly drops of 2-3 feet. But the corners inevitably broke each year. I looked at it as a $20-$30/ year protection of $600 iPad (the price went down each year). The Case Crown Omni was the only one I wanted since it was very thin, very light, and inexpensive into the bargain. I purchased this one because it was even cheaper, though I expect it to be slightly more durable. There are areas where each compares favorably. The Case Crown Omni was slightly thinner and lighter but more expensive. As stated, this one appears to be more durable, but we’ll see. That means I paid less for something (the Fintie) which ‘seems’ more durable, which makes me feel frugal. The Case Crown has gone down in price, so if I purchase this again, it will have to be more durable (last longer than a year). Both are good. I am happy with both purchases. So far. Other than the Case Crown being thinner and lighter, it has four fold panels rather than the three this one has. That means this one has a wider, sturdier base, but the Case Crown was slightly easier to hold as I tucked my index finger into the hollow of the folds. But this one compares favorably in price and sturdiness or durability (I think) and the Case Crown for it’s thinner lighter size. I’ll update this review next year, or if it tears or snaps too early.
