National Hardware N105-726 5116 Plain Box Rail in Galvanized, 8'

I recently installed the National Hardware N105-726 5116 Plain Box Rail in my garage to hang a heavy sliding barn door for my workshop—it's a 400 lb beast, and this 8' galvanized rail handled it like a champ! The 16-gauge steel construction is super sturdy, with pre-drilled holes every 24 inches that made mounting a breeze using basic brackets and screws (included, thankfully). The even tread surface ensures smooth gliding for the hanger wheels, no jerky movements or sticking after months of daily use. The galvanized finish resists rust perfectly in my humid garage, and at this price, it's a steal compared to pricier custom tracks. Installation took under an hour with just a drill and level. Minor nitpick: It's plain, so no fancy aesthetics, but that's what I wanted for a functional setup. If you're DIY-ing a sliding door or barn track, this is reliable and built to last—highly recommend!

This is a great product that can be used in place of the very expensive track / rail system sold by Hovertech for their medical lift system. Hovertech wanted more than 10 times as much for their rail. I purchased the Molift Air 200 in September of 2024 and use this rail with the trolly that came with the lift.

Strong, convenient and easy. I ended up with 10 hooks, 9 bikes hanging and one more would fit fine. It takes 5 orders: rail, hooks, rollers, rail sleeves and maybe 2 stoppers for the bikes not to roll out of the rail. Enjoy!

I don't need this anymore and was going to return it,however,UPS was going to charge me $60.00 to return it so I guess I'll just keep it

The rails were delivered within 2 days of ordering and protected on the end with cardboard to prevent damage. I ordered the trolley hangers to use with this product and it fit perfectly. There are predrilled holes about an inch from each end. Since I was bolting it to an eight foot long 2x8 I had to drill additional holes about 5 inches in to prevent the board from splitting. Although the trolley track is heavy-duty, it was fairly easy to drill through.

I have installed several barn doors over the years and have appreciated the simplicity and utilitarian aesthetic of the Stanley system. One side of the barn door has been exposed to a wood shop, so I haven’t needed a fancy system. This system allows for adjusting the height through a threaded bolt on each hanger. Depending on the thickness of your door, you may need to change out the bolts that come with the hardware, but that is a simple stop at the hardware store. I highly recommend and will purchase this product again in the future.

It did the job that I had in mind for it to do. Was able to install it with ease.

Does the job expected. My only surprise was that several in the reviews said it came with stops for the end. Mine did not and I think you’ll likely have to buy those separately.

Great product! I put a barn style door on my fence and used this product as the headrail. It's been a year and no issues standing up to the Canadian winter.

I was looking for a cheap solution to create a moving hoist. This product worked just great.
