It cut through bass wood

I bought Cricut brand balsa and basswood along with this blade and it was a massive waste of money! I hand make dollhouse furniture to use in my artwork and I saw a few tutorials of Cricut makers used to make dollhouse furniture out of balsa wood and basswood. I bought both materials, a strong grip mat and this blade. I calibrated the machine and followed all directions. No potatoes! No matter what I did it would never cut enough of the material to get one single thing fully cut. I ended up with $100 in wasted/ unusable materials which is really hard on me as a full time artist. I use my maker for so many things and it’s a life saver. This blade just sucked. I had to do my best to combine a bunch of pieces just to complete 1 window, which, spoiler alert it wasn’t meant to be a window it’s just all I could make with a bunch of broken materials. I attempted to recalibrate the blade again and use it on old cereal boxes for patterns and oh my Norse gods, it did NOT cut the cardboard well either. This blade is $47 at Joann’s, I just wanted to save some money and it bit me in the pooper.

This blade did not work well. the cuts were so choppy. I recommend getting the cricut brand blade.

Do not buy this item. It is not fit for purpose whatsoever. I was incorrectly under the impression it was an official Cricut blade when I purchased this. Once it arrived and I saw the packaging I realised it was not and checked the reviews. Sadly I saw what I was fearing and every one is one star. Because you can’t leave less! I took it out of the packaging and thought I would try it considering it had arrived and on the first cut, literally, the blade snapped and fell out. After checking inside the housing I confirmed the blade was definitely snapped and so took it out of my machine before it ruined it. I arranged a return which was accepted however sadly we’ve had sickness in the house and haven’t been able to go to the Evri store to return in time. I phoned Amazon this morning and they confirmed I’m now unable to return this broken piece of tat. So I’ve spent £35 on an unusable, unsuitable item and have no way to claim that back. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM it is not fit for purpose and it will ruin your machine!

They’ve blade arrived, tried to cut very thin Balsa wood, recommended 7 passes!After 15 passes it still hadn’t cut through. Tried to contact the company but they haven’t replied. Contacted Amazon who were very helpful now returning for refund.

This is a good product and works but wish I bought the cricut knife blade. It wasn’t much cheaper than the cricut one and doesn’t have the easy release button on top like the cricut ones. It also didn’t line up properly when I done the calibration but this could be due to my machine, but probably should have tried the calibration a few times rather than just once.

I wouldn't leave a star if I could help it. Cricut Maker does not read this knife blade as all. I cleaned my machine off several times and it still wouldn't read it. I can't even send the thing back as I cannot find original packaging it for. Waste of money.

Item does not cut. Just drags across the paper, card or basswood. Even the calibration process was a joke as just dragged…. Tried running the blade over my finger…not a mark let alone a cut.Complete waste of money and time. Brand new machine with no problems with any other accessories or tools albeit I have always in the past purchased cricut branded ones. Do not buy
