ALPS OutdoorZSportsman's Belt, Coyote Brown, One Size

These pouches are the best I’ve ever used. Been hunting birds all my life and durability and functionality are paramount, and these pouches deliver! Although I haven’t had the buckle issues other have I can see it possibly being an issue in the future… the belt is ALWAYS the issue with these pouch systems. They bunch up, fold over and roll up, or in this case the clasp. The fix… 2 inch leather tool belt, been doing this for years, knowing the “belt” is always the weak link. The pouches are tough, great size and comfortable. I love they have a “closing” system that prevent crap from falling out or keeps shells secure between hunts. I won’t take away star for the belt, it is decent, but I know it is always the problem, I can easily and will give these 5 stars plus!

Like the other reviews, I too had issues with the belt not staying closed which was a bummer. I called the company and they stood behind their product and sent me a new buckle with no questions, which goes a long way. I will try the replacement buckle on my next hunting outing.For the time being I had an old belt that I put the bags on. The bags are removable with a snap, so you can easily transfer to another belt. I wasn't going to let a fault buckle ruin my using the pouches. Once I did that I was very happy with the performance of the pouches and how they kept my ammo secure in the pockets. Aside from the faulty buckle (which I hope they fix for future) I would give this bag 5 stars.

The media could not be loaded.  The materials seem great except for the clasp. The mechanisms are so loose that it barely latches and it literally falls apart if it’s touched. See video. I tried to make do but I just can’t get it to stay on… any movement from the wearer triggers the release catch on the belt latch. There just isn’t enough tension for it to work.Very disappointed for a $60+ Belt, not to mention it was packaged in such a way that a return is virtually impossible. Now I guess I’m stuck with it and I’m really disappointed. 😔

The waxed canvas material the pouches are made of is durable, practical, and rather handsome. The shell pouch closures work great. The mesh venting on the game bag and grommet drains in the shell pouches are great too.I've used this all summer for dog training days; this and a bird bag is the perfect set up for me as a handler.My only cons:- The cloth belt itself is pretty flimsy and you have to fiddle with the buckle to make sure it locks closed. I'll probably just relocate the pouches to a stiff leather or reinforced 'gun' belt- The magnets to close the game pouch are pretty weak and hard to get closed since it rides behind you.- I wish it had a second water bottle holster; always end up using a full shell pouch with extra dog water bottles. Plus, would make the load balance a little more evenly.

The fell and quality of the product are great except for the buckle. Its cheap and fails every time it is used. The pouches are great. They remain open or closed as needed, the material is water resistant and dose not snag on briars. It would be a great game belt for filed use if the buckle would work. It is just too cheap and weak for a hunting product.
