This is a meat cutter must have.
This is a must have if you're boning meats or a meat cutter. They are extremely easy to clean, don't have too much of an odor, and keep you from mutilation. I've been a meat cutter for 23 years, and any time I've cut without one, I've nailed myself at least once. Wear this, and you're good to go.

Good quality. Order larger than think you need.
Looks and feels like a great product. Had to give them to my wife. Recommend getting a bigger size than what you think you need.

Good product, skinny hands preferred.
The good: a well made metal glove. Reasonably priced. It looks pretty solid and looks/feels well made. So I have no complaint there - it will more than likely work fine for its intended uses. I'm not going to test it because the outside of the box specifically tells you not to do that. But remember, kids - chain mail is resistant to slashing damage, not piercing damage. My only complaint is the fit of the glove. I measured my hand using the sizing chart and, well, it was all over the place. I was an XL on girth, M on finger length, and S on overall hand length. I usually wear an L or XL for winter or gardening gloves, and those fit properly 9 times out of ten, so I ordered an XL thinking it was just me having a weird day.But the sizing chart was absolutely correct - the XL glove fits comfortably around my palm, but leaves over half an inch of extra glove dangling on the end of each finger. Doesn't seem like it's a huge problem from a functional standpoint, even if it feels a bit weird, but it makes me wonder what group of people they measured to determine their sizing chart. (Concert pianists? Hand models?)

Works great!

Check the measurements posted for size. The gloves run a bit small.
The gloves run a bit small. I expected the Medium to fit but it was tight. Large was comfortable. The gloves can be used on both hands. There is a separate glove liner that improves the comfort.

No kitchen should go with out
Every kitchen should have one. Kept me from cutting myself several times. Now I try not to cut with out it.

Definitely recommend this for everyday or work-related cutting/butchering purposes.
This is very much worth the money -- I strongly recommend this chainmail glove. I bought this for use with cutting garnishes and cutting homemade clear ice for cocktails. My hands can be a bit clumsy most of the time (i.e. a firm grip on my phone one second becomes a random, inexplicable drop the next), and I knew I needed extra protection when working with sharp knives for cutting fruits, vegetables, and ice. While the glove, at the smallest size I could order for my hand size, does have a bit of extra space in the glove (no more than a half inch), the fit is pretty good. Definitely wouldn't hurt to order a size down if your hand size is more towards the middle of the measurement chart (I'm the very end on the low side). This thing immediately proved to be a great buy on my first garnish prep use -- dang peeler coulda sliced my pinky off slipping off a lemon. The glove caught the peeler's blow, which was only a graze, and my pinky was safe. For cutting my clear ice blocks, this does have a pretty solid hold on the ice. It is not too hard to clean, but perhaps may be a bit tricky getting little bits of stuff caught in between the little links. All in all, the best $50 I spent towards preventing a trip to a hospital because of my derpy hands.

The Butchers Truth! Not EN388 Compliant, Uncomfortable, Undersized, great price. All Honesty Here!
THE GOOD:To be fair, the price is great, $15 for added protection if you can't afford $50 for a proper "Chainmail Glove", do it!THE NOT SO GOOD:1. To be clear, you're only getting 1 mesh Glove! Not a pair. I was kind of tricked by the ad saying "2 pieces" but that was in reference to a thin cloth glove included with the single mesh glove you can apparently wear underneath. Not sure what you would want that for because it's far easier after butchering to just wash your hands and not a cloth glove. A little Tip having been a former butcher, order some "Black Widow Nerite Gloves" to wear under this or any other mesh love. They are disposable, your hand won't be soaked in blood and fat grease, you just toss the nerite when finished and Black Widow makes some of the best nerite gloves in the industry which I use all the time. These work "far better than the cloth glove provided here".2. Definitely order 1 size larger than what you are as these run small. I typically wear XL gloves but seeing this recommendation by someone else I ordered a 2XL and it is "very tight" making it difficult to use my hand. I'd actually ask for a 3XL if the option was available but it wasn't.3. The glove I received was "prickly" meaning there were loose wires poking at my hand. It could be just this glove but it's not nearly as comfortable as a butchers "Chainmail Glove" which are a bit more expensive at about $50 for a nice one but I'll be returning this one (you basically do get what you pay for in most cases).4. Having formerly been a butcher and always thinking level 5 was the best, it was the advertising of this being a 9 that got me to buy it more than the low price. I had to do an AI Chat Lookup to see what the AI had to say about the 5 vs 9 issue and the result confirmed everything backing up exactly what I experienced above in lack of comfort and more so I'm going to copy and paste the AI Chat response of a 5 vs 9 here for you so you can make your own conclusion..."In the EN 388 standard, Level 5 cut resistance indicates the highest grade and best protection against cuts from sharp objects. Gloves with this rating provide a high level of cut resistance and can withstand more severe cutting hazards. However, the mention of Level 9 does not align with the EN 388 standard or any other widely recognized rating system. It's possible that the Level 9 rating refers to a different rating system or a proprietary rating used by a specific manufacturer or organization. To ensure you're selecting appropriate butcher gloves, look for gloves with a high cut resistance rating, such as Level 5 under the EN 388 standard. Additionally, consider other factors such as comfort, dexterity, and specific requirements for your tasks to find the most suitable gloves for your needs."Hope this helps.
