If you're going to service small appliances as opposed to just recovering refrigerant from them for disposal, this is a great tool to have. It works well at pinching off the service stubs and the re-rounding part of the tool does a better job than I expected. Although pricey, you can tell it's good quality. Smooth threads for the wing nuts, solid metal, and great tolerances.

When I repaired the Manitowoc ice machines it stopped freon from leaking

worked for pinching copper line I could not get it to round back out but I am sure it was operator error

Pinched off between leaking Supco piercing valve and fridge compressor. Removed piercing valve, cut out valve hole and silver soldered brazed shrader valve and voila - no leak! Used reround portion of tool to reopen piched line, pull vacuum on system, tested and recharged. Works like a champ again. Never using a piercing valve again because they don't always seal but this tool saved the repair.
