Reliable AC Adapter.
Best yet. Don't take a chance with other products. This is Dell quality, easy plug-in, fully charges laptop in less than 2 hours, possibly faster, as I did not monitor exact time lapse. Save about half, vis-à-vis ordering directly from Dell.

Not what we ordered
First of all we did not receive what we ordered. We spent a great deal of time searching to be sure we found the right charger/adapter that was compatible with our computer. The description of this cord listed the computer model numbers it was compatible with and ours was listed among them. What we received is not compatible with the computer, and furthermore it is defective in that the cord from the wall outlet to transformer does not fit properly and is very loose and keeps coming detached. Finally the merchandise we received was composed of 3 pieces --one was some kind of patch cord- clearly not what we ordered. Obviously it is on its way back. Sooooo annoying!

Works as it should. Solved a problem with a laptop purchased from a popular TV show that sells stuff. Her laptop came with an after market charger and she kept getting error messages. This is perfect and solved the problem.

Just out of warranty it stopped working
It's been about three months, and any charger just started sparking every time I plug it in and not working. Which is awkward because it was advertised as brand new and seems to be an authentic Dell. I don't know if the seller (whole parts) gave me a refurbished dud or the brand is responsible for faulty chargers, but the lifespan on a single $30 charger should be more than 3 mos.
