will this accept bosch 1 1/8" bits?

If 1 1/8" Hex Notch with round head. I tried at Home Depot to mount an 1 1/8 Hex Notch with Hex head (Bosch, Milwaukee, etc) and no way. Hex size is same. But on this the Hex must be parallel to Notch. Bosch, etc Hex corners are 90 degrees to Notch and anyway it's Hex head will not enter the rounded top.

One reviewer stated this item was 5o lbs but the product description says 35 lbs, which is correct?

Description here on Amazon says 1/100th of an ounce, so that must be on an asteroid. Actually a bit over 35 pounds. 'Real' jackhammers weigh about 60#, so this is pretty light.

does it last ?? is the life of the tools good??

I purchased it in March 2015. I used it to dig a sump to install a sump pump, as well as dig a french drain, and several drainage ditches in clay soil. It gave out about a year or 2 later while breaking up a concrete pad an above-ground pool used to sit on. It was always oiled, and after disassembling it, I guess that a part was being worn down as it spun, but I dunno much about electric motors. It just looked worn down in parts, so that's what I think happened. All in all, the tool costs about as much as a day-and-a-half rental, which I got much more than that. So now, 3 years from the first purchase, I'm ordering it again. I expect to get plenty more than a day and a half out of it, but it won't last forever. I'm happy enough with it to do it again.

Tool weight=35lb, compared to 70lb for a similar tool with less amperage. Does this result in more handle vibration and less impact force at chisel?

More amps or watts usually bigger motor. Bigger motor means bigger hammer. Every tool has its place depends on the task at hand. I used the one I bought for a driveway and it hit good and hard.
