The media could not be loaded.  The moon lamp looks like a lump of plastic when it is not illuminated. Once illuminated it looks fantastic. The only thing that ruins the lamp is the writing. Perhaps if it actually was customised as in personalised then maybe the writing would be ok. As it is I feel it takes away from the moon lamp. I also don't think that many people will want to put a lamp on that says "Happy birthday" unless it is their birthday so it becomes a 3D birthday card to the person who is your world. The good news is the 3d printed lamp is a globe of the moon and therefore it can be turned around when you don't want to see the writing.The lamp is charged by asocket at it's base. It takes a couple of hours to charge and runs for approximately 8hrs. There are numerous colour options and a few different colour changing patterns these are operated using the included remote control (see video). You can also change the colour by tapping the charging point at the base, this goes through the colour sequence and will also turn the lamp on/off.It's a very cool idea for a lamp and it comes with a simple to assemble wooden stand.I'd happily pay the £22.99 for the lamp if it didn't have the writing on it.

I got this light to have it on display in the hallway, while also using it as a light come night time, as the hallway is dark and the light switches are on the far side. This works perfectly and looks great just sitting there on the hallway table, being able to choose between what colour we are all fancying that day, plus the brightness that you want.This came already pre-personalised, but that's because I was lucky enough to receive a free version to review, but I still really like what is written on there. You can clearly see that it's personalised and the writing that's on it, both when the light is on and off. However, if you don't feel like having the personalisation on display, you only have to turn it around, as exactly half is personalised and the other half isn't.The light isn't too bright, which means that this will also work well as a nightlight for children in their bedrooms, or as a cosy light at night.I thought that the material on the light itself was going to be different and heavy for some reason, but it's not. It's surprisingly really light weight, with a stand that is simple to put together and for it to then sit on. It looks like it's quality is a lot better and heavier, without having to worry about it falling off and breaking, or hurting anyone.

This colourful moon with a message by ZikudFu is a bit of an oddity – it is produced by 3D printing using plant-based biodegradable material and when not working it looks very plain indeed; but when lit it displays a romantic birthday message. It is rechargeable and features a remote control to switch the various lighting modes like a small lamp – it comes with a charging cable but no charger, any USB port should work OK. The problem is that it is only your loved one's birthday one day a year so the message is not really relevant for most of the time – and at around twenty pounds currently from Amazon makes it a bit of an expensive birthday card. This item is a bit difficult to rate objectively as some people might like the romantic birthday gift idea but others will find it a bit too expensive for what it is – I think it would probably have been better without the Happy Birthday part of the message, so three stars as it is.

The media could not be loaded.  I’ll be honest this looks like a plain night light priced at £19.99. However, once lit it looks lovely.When opened it has a little sentiment on the front. Had the sentiment just been there and not the happy birthday it would make it more viable as a gift for anyone, at any time of year. However, the sentiment is a bit confusing in a way as would have made more sense if it was a world rather than the moon, but it doesn’t detract from the object itself.The light comes with a wooden stand that connects together with ease. Although I did notice one of them did not want to go flush because the wood hadn’t been carved correctly (good thing my brothers a joiner).It comes with the lead for charging and a remote to allow you to change the colours/style of light. It is cute, not as realistic as the box makes it looks.

This is a bit of an enigma.It is at its worst when it is not lit up and the inane message is facing you instead of the wall. Someone said it looks like a football on a display stand .This all changes when it is charged and turned on.Then it looks amazing like the moon in your room and it can be customised by choosing one of a range of great colours.You can also turn out the stupid writing to face away from you. I mean would you really only use this 3 or 4 times a year to display 'Happy Birthday'?The manufacturer might sell more of these if they removed the message. That just turns a potentially nice item into much more of a tacky one.However, with adjustments described above, this is a really great affordable addition to the home.

This is definitely the most exquisite lamp you could be getting, but if it is of natural fibre and not damaging to health, this is a way to go. Firstly, the battery life is superb. You charge it for a couple of hours and it keeps running for 3 nights (and I always put it to recharge before we have ever had a black out). Then, the red on this lamp works beautifully, so if you're looking for a red one for your child's room, this is it. Other colours are just as mystifying. You can have a blue moon, or any other, right there on your shelf - this lamp looks a lot like the moon with its slightly uneven surface. It is very lightweight and the wooden base is a nice touch. But it is difficult to disguise the wires.
